If that sounds like you, we'd love to have you on our team.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities*:\nManages a group of sub-contractor craftsmen (installers and helpers).\nWalk jobs regularly and verifies readiness for both HVAC rough-in and HVAC trim installations.\nCoordinates installation dates with scheduling team and ensures job are ready for installation\nCheck the jobs by phase to assure work is completed.\nEnsure schedule compliance completion of assigned work by Subcontractor installation crews. \nCoordinates with sub-contractors and office regarding punch lists or repairs as needed.\nReview sub-contractor invoices as needed and approves after work is complete per phase.\nMay schedule inspections with local jurisdictions.\nCoordinates and completes paperwork for billable change orders found in the field.\nMeets Builder supervisors on job sites to work through any issues with installations or design.\nManages all pertinent production related issues with homebuilders in the assigned area of responsibility. \nBuilds rapport and fosters long-term relationships with builder superintendents. \nEnsures that employees attend all required training\nContinually searches for ways to improve results and effectiveness.\nProvides regular performance updates and recommendations to senior management\nProvides leadership to designated teams through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication based on direction from senior management.\nAddresses issues of concern related to performance providing constructive and ongoing feedback and consequences if performance remains below standards.\nFollows safety policies and procedures\nOther duties as assigned\n* Duties may vary by location.\nMinimum Requirements:\n3+ years HVAC installation experience\nHigh school diploma or GED\nProven track record of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously\nBeg/Intermediate computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)\nMust be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nValid driver's license required\nAbility to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n3-5 years’ experience as a field supervisor in residential new construction or related experience\nMulti-family HVAC installation experience\nCompleted college coursework\nAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nLeadership skills and effective leadership behaviors\nCustomer service mindset with both internal and external customers\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nStrong work ethic\nCapable of making good judgments/decisions\nStrong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, with all levels of the organization\nAble to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task\nAbility to build positive relationships with customers, both internal and external\nProactive mindset\nMechanical aptitude\nSafety mindset and acceptance of a safety culture\nWorking Conditions:\nMajority of time spent in a field environment (hot attics, crawl spaces, uneven terrain, construction sites and finished homes).\nTravel by vehicle to and from work locations\nRegularly exposed to construction environments involving equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials and odors\nComfortable working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift\nMust be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently\nFrequently performs tasks requiring climbing, bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching\nMust be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work on platforms/scaffolding (using the appropriate fall protection requirements)\nMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work boots\nMust be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting\nAbility to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other equipment safely.\nWith natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception\nAbility to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others \nAbility to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad\nMust be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools\nAirtron is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
