If that sounds like you, we'd love to have you on our team.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities:\nDetermines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials to Division operations\nCoordinates with other departments to ensure the timely flow of materials within an established timeframe\nResponsible for min/max inventory levels according to the season, usage trends and product availability\nWorks on distributor and manufacturer accountability, while maintaining an open and transparent relationship\nDevelops and maintains inventory templates for warehouse and other purchasing team members\nEnsures purchase orders requirements have been met\nOversees preparation of purchase orders \nOversees monthly inventory counts\nPerforms vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reduce costs and boost efficiency\nMonitors vendor performance, making recommendations to improve vendor performance as needed\nWorks with warehouse staff to reconcile receiving discrepancies\nCollaborates with other departments as needed\nKeeps Senior Management informed of activities and progress toward goals & objectives\nEstablishes effective reporting and communication with designated team to ensure that they are appropriately informed of management expectations, polices, procedures and programs\nCompletes required reports, accounting records and related documents promptly and accurately\nEffectively supervises purchasing team, ensuring staff are trained for optimal performance\nLeads and develops the purchasing team; maintains appropriate staffing levels\nEnsures that employees attend all required training\nContinually searches for ways to improve results and effectiveness\nProvides regular performance updates and recommendations to senior management\nProvides leadership to designated teams through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication based on direction from senior management\nAddresses issues of concern related to performance providing constructive and ongoing feedback and consequences if performance remains below standards\nFollows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety\nOther duties as assigned\nMinimum Requirements:\n3-5 years of purchasing management experience\n3-5 years’ experience leading successful, productive teams\nHigh school diploma or GED\nIntermediate computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)\nAbility to manage projects and resources\nMust be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nValid driver's license required\nAbility to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n3-5 years of purchasing management experience within a construction/HVAC environment\nAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nLeadership skills and effective leadership behaviors\nCustomer service mindset with both internal and external customers\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nStrong work ethic\nCapable of making good judgments/decisions\nStrong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, with all levels of the organization\nAble to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task\nAbility to build positive relationships with customers, both internal and external\nProactive mindset\nSafety mindset and acceptance of a safety culture\nWorking Conditions:\nOpen office environment\nFast-paced environment\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently\nFrequently performs tasks requiring bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching\nMust be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift\nMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work boots\nMust be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting\nAbility to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other equipment safely.\nWith natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception\nAbility to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others \nAbility to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad\nMust be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools\nAirtron is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
