If that sounds like you, we'd love to have you on our team.\nJob Summary:\nLeads and supports the residential new construction estimations function, including plan takeoffs, design coordination, bid preparation, pricing accuracy, workload planning, and related administrative processes. This position is responsible for managing estimation quality, timeliness, consistency, and team performance through coaching, training, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination with sales, operations, purchasing, and leadership.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities:\nResponsible for managing the estimations team in Dallas, including all aspects of residential new construction design support, plan takeoffs, job bidding, and estimate preparation.\nProvides leadership, training, and coaching to ensure optimal performance of the estimations team.\nEstablishes estimating standards, workflows, timelines, and quality-control processes to ensure accurate and consistent bids.\nReviews estimates, scopes, drawings, specifications, labor assumptions, material selections, and pricing inputs for completeness and accuracy.\nPrioritizes team workload and assigns estimating resources to meet bid deadlines and internal service-level expectations.\nCoordinates with sales, operations, purchasing, and leadership to clarify scope, resolve estimating questions, and support timely quote delivery.\nProvides regular performance updates to senior management regarding estimating volume, turnaround time, accuracy, backlog, and process improvement opportunities.\nPromptly addresses performance, quality, training, or process issues within the estimations team.\nSupports resolution of escalated estimating, scope, pricing, or design-related questions.\nEnsures estimate files, bid documentation, assumptions, revisions, and supporting materials are complete, organized, and maintained according to company standards.\nAccurately and promptly completes required reports and related documents.\nMonitors department capacity, tools, software, templates, and estimating resources to support team productivity.\nMaintains effective communication with internal partners to ensure estimating expectations, priorities, policies, procedures, and programs are clearly understood.\nEnsures team promptly completes all required training.\nContinually searches for opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, turnaround time, documentation quality, and overall department effectiveness.\nFollows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Requirements:\n5+ years of estimating, design, project coordination, or related construction/HVAC experience\n3+ years’ experience leading, training, or coordinating productive teams\nHigh school diploma or GED\nComputer competency is required, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook\nFamiliarity with ERP or related computer software\nKnowledge or aptitude to understand HVAC systems and processes\nAbility to manage projects and resources\nMust be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nValid driver's license required\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCollege degree\n5+ years of estimating experience within a construction/HVAC or residential new construction environment\nAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nLeadership skills and effective leadership behaviors\nStrong technical estimating, plan review, and scope interpretation skills\nProactive mindset\nStrong work ethic\nAble to work in a lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently\nFrequently performs tasks requiring bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching\nMust be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift\nMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work boots\nMust be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting\nAbility to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other
