With backing from our investors, including Blackstone, this is just the beginning…\nCome join the A-Team at AirTrunk, where the cloud meets the ground.\nA Snapshot\nAs the Design Manager in the Product Management team, you will report to the Associate Principal, Product Management, and work closely with the broader Customer, Solutions, Design and Innovation teams.\nThis role sits at the intersection of design leadership and product development. You will be responsible for leading the evolution of AirTrunk’s reference data centre products, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and aligned to customer and market needs.\nYour role will be pivotal in:\nLeading projects with the support of a team of subject matter experts (SMEs) and product-focused design engineers.\nDriving the development and continuous improvement of AirTrunk’s reference design products across disciplines.\nEnsuring consistency, quality, and innovation across design standards, specifications, and technical documentation.\nPartnering primarily with internal stakeholders to shape product direction and technical solutions, with customer engagement where required.\nYour Day to Day\nLead cross-functional SMEs to drive outcomes, fostering accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence (without direct line management).\nOwn the development, governance, and continuous improvement of AirTrunk’s reference data centre product designs across APAC.\nIntegrate learnings from live projects into product evolution, establishing strong feedback loops between Product, Design, and Delivery teams.\nCollaborate primarily with internal stakeholders, with targeted customer engagement to inform product direction and requirements.\nOversee feasibility studies, technical assessments, and the integration of new technologies into product designs.\nDrive alignment across disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil, and architectural) to deliver cohesive and optimised design outcomes.\nEnsure all product designs meet AirTrunk standards for performance, cost, constructability, and sustainability.\nCommunicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior stakeholders, including product roadmap, innovations, and key decisions.\nDemonstrating flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing project needs, priorities, and environments.\nRequirements \nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably electrical or mechanical) or a related technical field, with at least 8 years of relevant industry experience and at least 5 years in data centre or mission-critical environments.\nDemonstrated experience leading or supporting major data centre projects in a client-side, consultancy, or contractor role.\nUnderstanding of multi-disciplinary building services design, civil, structural and architectural.\nExperience with Building Information Management (BIM) and digital design tools.\nIdeally, experience working for a data centre operator and exposure to hyperscale design and cloud infrastructure in the APAC market.\nFlexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.\nStrong decision-making skills and accountability.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations on to customers, peers, and management.\nLeadership acumen to support and influence multi-disciplinary teams (internal and external).\nThe AirTrunk Culture \nWorking at AirTrunk is a once in a lifetime opportunity to fast-track your career and amplify your impact.
