Read ouroperating principles to see it in full.\nHow you'll make impact\nAirwallex’s corporate network needs to remain secure, reliable and scalable as our global footprint grows. You’ll own critical network infrastructure and help shape the systems, practices and team capabilities that support our people across regions.\nBuild the foundations of Airwallex’s corporate network and help shape the team structure and capabilities needed as we grow.\n\nDesign, deploy and maintain secure, highly available LAN, WAN, wireless and VPN infrastructure across our global offices and regions.\n\nDesign multi-region hybrid network patterns connecting physical offices, data centres and cloud environments, including AWS and Alibaba Cloud.\n\nConfigure and operate global connectivity across international leased lines and domestic internet connections, working across mixed-vendor environments.\n\nLead the configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and wireless access points.\n\nOwn CorpNet as a first responder and escalation point for complex network incidents, taking issues through to resolution and completing after-action reviews.\n\nPartner with CorpSec, ProdSec, Engineering, Product, IT Engineering, Workplace and other teams to integrate network solutions and support business initiatives.\n\nWork with IT Engineering and IT Support to troubleshoot endpoint network issues and build core networking capability across the team.\n\nUse infrastructure-as-code and automation, including Terraform and Ansible, to improve network consistency and operational efficiency.\n\nDevelop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations and operational procedures.\n\nEvaluate networking technologies and solutions that support Airwallex’s continued growth.\n\nMentor and coach network engineers, share knowledge, support skill development, manage performance and help attract strong talent.\n\nParticipate in a global follow-the-sun on-call rotation for corporate networking issues, with occasional after-hours or weekend work for network upgrades where needed to minimise business disruption.\n\nYou’ll work from our Australia office three days a week.\nWhat we're looking for\nEssentials\nSenior-level experience designing, implementing and maintaining Juniper and Palo Alto Networks solutions.\n\nDemonstrated experience working in a global, multi-vendor networking environment, including technologies such as Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco and Aruba.\n\nExperience with networking solutions for mainland China and international connectivity.\n\nStrong fundamentals in Wi-Fi technology and endpoint engineering; hardware experience is a plus, including Juniper Mist, Cisco Meraki or Aruba.\n\nExpert command-line configuration skills across networking hardware and vendors, including JunOS and IOS.\n\nExperience operating and troubleshooting complex corporate network environments.\n\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills.\n\nAbility to move quickly and make sound decisions with incomplete information when supporting a global business.\n\nPreferred\nStrong knowledge of Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect, Prisma and Prisma Cloud.\n\nExperience managing or leading a team of network engineers, ideally in a startup or scaling environment.\n\nA bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, alongside five or more years of relevant experience.\n\nUnderstanding of common identity standards, including SAML, OAuth and SSO.\n\nExperience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS or GCP.\n\nUnderstanding of RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, ACLs and common access-management principles in security and corporate IT environments.\n\nExperience working with SaaS-based systems and applications.\n\nStrong understanding of MDM systems across macOS and Windows, including Kandji, Jamf and Intune.\n\nYou'll thrive here if\nYou're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself.\n\nYou’re comfortable operating across time zones with a globally distributed team, including colleagues based in APAC and EMEA.\n\nYou own the outcome and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken.\n\nYou’re comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway.\n\nYou say what you mean.
