In this role, you’ll own the network foundations that support our engineers, customers, and financial solutions.\nDesign, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud networks supporting Airwallex’s globally distributed platform.\n\nOperate global connectivity, including leased lines, internet connections, and data-centre networks.\n\nConfigure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud networking services across mixed-vendor environments.\n\nLead network incident response, troubleshooting, post-incident reviews, upgrades, and change activities with minimal business disruption.\n\nPartner with Security, Engineering, IT, and Workplace teams to deliver reliable network solutions, while maintaining diagrams, documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.\n\nParticipate in a global on-call rotation and help ensure our production systems remain secure and highly available.\n\nThis role is based in Seoul, South Korea.\nAddress: Units 1006, Partners Tower, 83 Gasan digital 1-ro, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea, 08589 서울 금천구 가산디지털1로 83, 1006 호(가산동, 파트너스타워)\nWhat we're looking for\nEssentials\n5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in a production environment.\n\nStrong routing and switching fundamentals, equivalent to CCNA level or above.\n\nExperience with BGP, route filtering, subnetting, IPsec VPNs, network troubleshooting, and change management.\n\nPractical experience with GCP or AWS networking; GCP experience is preferred for this role.\n\nExperience with at least two networking vendors, such as Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, or Arista.\n\nWorking knowledge of Linux and scripting with Python or Bash.\n\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills.\n\nA stable employment history with sustained ownership of production systems.\n\nPreferred\nExperience with Terraform, Git, or CI/CD-based infrastructure automation.\n\nExperience in banking, fintech, or other regulated, high-availability environments.\n\nA relevant networking certification such as CCNA, JNCIA, HCIA, or equivalent.\n\nYou'll thrive here if\nYou're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself.\n\nYou own the outcome and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken.\n\nYou’re comfortable operating across time zones with a globally distributed team, including colleagues based in APAC and EMEA.\n\nYou over-communicate by design.
