Read ouroperating principles to see it in full.\nHow you'll make impact\nYou’ll build and operate goal-oriented AI agents that automate SRE, DevOps, and DBA workflows across Airwallex’s global infrastructure, including incident investigation and remediation, infrastructure provisioning, deployment orchestration, database operations, and capacity management.\nDesign reliable agent architectures with planning, reasoning, tool use, error recovery, safety guardrails, auditability, and human-in-the-loop escalation for systems that interact with production infrastructure.\n\nIntegrate agents with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, GCP, Aliyun, databases, monitoring and observability platforms, and CI/CD pipelines through well-designed tool interfaces.\n\nDefine evaluation frameworks and metrics such as task completion rate, accuracy, time to resolution, and escalation rate to measure and improve agent performance.\n\nPartner with SRE, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to identify high-value workflows, understand operational pain points, and translate them into useful agent capabilities.\n\nShape the technical vision for how AI agents can transform infrastructure operations, staying close to new developments in agentic AI.\n\nYou'll work from our Singapore office\nWhat we're looking for\nEssentials\n5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in a backend language such as Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin.\n\nPractical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Aliyun; container orchestration with Kubernetes; infrastructure as code with Terraform; and CI/CD systems.\n\nStrong system design skills, with the ability to architect reliable, safe, and scalable systems that interact with production infrastructure.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across cross-functional teams in a global environment.\n\nHands-on experience building agentic AI systems that autonomously plan, reason, and execute multi-step tasks using LLMs, including agent-loop design, tool-use orchestration, and agent state and memory management.\n\nPreferred\nExperience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom agent frameworks, and LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.\n\nExperience with observability and monitoring systems such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or the ELK stack.\n\nExperience with database administration or automation, including schema migrations, query optimisation, and backup and recovery.\n\nUnderstanding of SRE practices such as incident response, runbooks, postmortems, and SLOs/SLIs.\n\nA clear point of view on agent reliability, safety, evaluation, and the path toward increasingly autonomous infrastructure systems.\n\nYou'll thrive here if\nYou're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself.\n\nYou're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway.\n\nYou're comfortable with ambiguity.
