For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer.\nCore Knowledge & Skills: Designs complex network and hybrid-cloud solutions; implements security controls, DR/BCP, and automated IaC with deployment pipelines; performs advanced performance tuning.\n\nWork & Complexity: Solves complex issues, designs and delivers new infrastructure solutions, performs capacity planning, and leads advanced automation initiatives.\n\nQuality & Independence: Drives root-cause analysis, enforces best practices and QA on changes, optimizes for reliability and user experience; operates with high autonomy.\n\nTeamwork & Communication: Leads cross-functional efforts, mentors juniors, facilitates knowledge transfer, and aligns stakeholders with technical plans.\n\nConsulting & Engagement: Provides strategic input on infrastructure initiatives, recommends advanced technologies, and manages vendor relationships.\n\nAs your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Cloud Migration Test Automation Engineer.\n\nProject Summary\nThe Cloud Migration Test Automation Engineer ensures that applications work as expected after moving from on-premises data centers to Azure and AWS as part of a large-scale enterprise cloud migration program. The role is a hands-on technical engineer who builds automated validation tests, performs technical validation of migrated applications, and prepares acceptance evidence for a migration team. The role is remote.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelops and maintains reusable automated test scripts and frameworks that validate migrated applications and speed up repeatable validation across applications.\nEstablishes technical baselines before migration and compares post-migration results against them to identify failures.\nValidates Azure and AWS configurations after migration, including networking, connectivity, DNS, identity, and cloud services.\nValidates APIs, application interfaces, integrations, and databases, including data integrity and application data access.\n Executes smoke, regression, and performance and reliability tests against agreed baselines.\nIntegrates automated test execution and reporting into CI/CD pipelines.\nManages test cases, results, defects, and requirements traceability in approved test management tools, including Jama Connect where applicable.\nAssembles technical acceptance evidence for each migrated application and shares results, risks, and Go/No-Go recommendations with the team lead.\nRequired For This Opportunity\nUS Citizen\nMinimum five years of software testing or quality engineering experience, including building automated test frameworks\nStrong PowerShell and Python scripting skills for developing automated validation scripts and reusable test utilities\nExperience with cloud infrastructure, API, and database testing· Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, pytest, or Robot Framework\nAbility to independently develop and execute technical validation scripts\nWorks on complex problems without appreciable direction and provides functional leadership to team members\nNice to Have Skills\nExperience testing applications during cloud migrations· Experience with Jama Connect, or integrating test automation frameworks with enterprise test management platforms\nExperience testing applications hosted in Azure or AWS\nExperience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins \nExperience with API testing tools such as Postman, Newman, or REST Assured\nExperience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6· Federal program delivery experience\nExperience using GitHub and GitHub Copilot for source control and AI-assisted development\nFamiliarity with AI technologies and their practical use in IT delivery or cloud environments\n\nAt AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member.\n\nThe targeted base salary range for this role is $102,000-$154,000 per year.
