If you want to work on technology that matters, not in a lab, but validated in the field, this is the role for you.\nThe Role\nThis is a hands-on flying and technician position. You will pilot FPV aircraft in manual / acro mode for testing, integration, and live demonstrations; put new airframes, payloads, and software builds through their paces; and tell our engineers exactly what the aircraft is doing and why.\nYou will be based on-site at our test facility in Mahwah, NJ, with regular travel to field and flight sites. On non-flying days, you will work R&D at the facility alongside the engineering team, building and tuning aircraft, integrating new hardware and software, and turning what you learn in the air into product improvements.\nWhat You'll Do\nFly FPV aircraft (manual / acro mode) for test flights, system integration, and customer demonstrations\nExecute structured flight test plans and document results; notice and report subtle performance issues in aircraft, radio links, and video systems\nOn non-flying days, contribute to R&D at our Mahwah test facility: prototype builds, hardware / software integration, bench testing, and iterating with engineering on findings from flight tests\nBuild, repair, and maintain quads: soldering, component swaps, firmware configuration, and tuning\nReview your own DVR footage and flight logs to support engineering feedback\nSupport field operations and demos, including travel to off-site locations\nRequirements\nExpert FPV flying in full manual / acro mode (goggles on, with a spotter or visual line-of-sight protocol); this is a hands-on testing and R&D role, not a cinematic or GPS-assisted camera drone position\n2+ years of hands-on FPV experience (professional, serious hobbyist, or competitive racing / freestyle counts)\nProof of skill: include a link to flight footage (DVR, freestyle, or racing) or race results with your application\nComfortable building and repairing 5-inch-class and similar quads\nFAA Part 107 certificate, or willingness to obtain within 90 days (we'll cover it)\nU.S. citizenship required for this position\nAble to work outdoors in varying weather and travel to field / test sites\nStrong fit if\nYou have military experience, especially UAS operations (Army 15W, SUAS operator, Raven / Puma / Switchblade, or similar)\nYou are an active or former FPV racer or freestyle pilot\nYou have experience flying in degraded conditions: no GPS, contested RF, and night operations\nYou have soldering and electronics troubleshooting skills, with INAV / ExpressLRS familiarity\nYou have instruction or demo experience: you can teach others to fly and represent the product live\nFinalists complete a practical flight assessment and meet with the team.\nBenefits\nHealth Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nPaid time off\nCompensation: $80,000 -
