This is a technical leadership role, where the lead is expected to write code, debug issues, review patches, and own complex problem resolution, in addition to guiding the team.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and mentor a team of Embedded Linux engineers while remaining technically hands-on\nActively contribute to:\no Linux BSP bring-up\no Kernel and driver development\no Board-level debugging and system integration\nOwn end-to-end delivery of Embedded Linux solutions on custom hardware\nDrive architecture, design decisions, and technical trade-oAs\nPerform hands-on debugging of complex issues using logs, traces, and debug tools\nReview and contribute to code, design documents, and technical specifications\nServe as the primary technical escalation point within the team\nCollaborate closely with Hardware, QA, Validation, and Support teams\nSupport customer discussions, technical reviews, and escalations as needed\n Ensure engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality processes are followed\nRequired Skills\nStrong hands-on experience in Embedded Linux development\nDeep expertise in: \nLinux kernel internals \nDevice driver development \nBSP bring-up for custom boards \nStrong proficiency in C / C++, shell scripting, and debugging \nExtensive experience with Yocto / Buildroot based Linux systems \nSolid hands-on experience with: \nBootloaders such as U-Boot \nBoard bring-up, memory, clocks, and device initialization \nUnderstanding of ARM / PowerPC / x86 SoC architectures \nAbility to deep-dive into issues and guide the team through root-cause analysis \nStrong communication, technical ownership, and mentoring skills\nPreferred / Nice-to-Have Skills\nExperience with PCI/PCIe, VME, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART, USB protocols
