At AIXTRON, you can look forward to exciting projects, interdisciplinary teams, and the opportunity to be at the forefront of technological advancement.\nYour Challenge\nAs an experienced backend developer, you will work closely with your agile team to tackle technical and conceptual challenges, collaboratively developing suitable solutions and ideas for our current and future plant software and its surrounding components.\nYou will coordinate with stakeholders, partners, process engineers, and other colleagues regarding requirements and acceptance criteria, while ensuring our high quality standards through unit testing, simulation testing, and direct system testing. You will share your knowledge within the team and always maintain an overview of the overall architecture.\nAmong other responsibilities, you will ensure the timely completion of all assigned tasks.\nThrough appropriate software concepts, implementation, testing, and documentation - while considering applicable national and international standards - you will help guarantee the demanding AIXTRON quality standard.\nWhat You Bring\nYou hold a degree in an IT-related field or a completed vocational training qualification, along with at least 5-10 years of professional experience as a software engineer in complex software projects.\nAs a backend developer, you have knowledge in C#, .NET 8+, strong OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, Microservices architecture, Event-driven architecture, API design (REST, gRPC, GraphQL), Clean Architecture.\nExperience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL), including database design, ORM usage (e.g., Entity Framework Core), and query optimization.\nExperience with Windows host and Linux systems, virtual machines, and containerization, as well as knowledge of additional object-oriented programming languages, web development, and software architecture design/documentation techniques, would be an advantage.\nInterest in AI-assisted dev tooling.\nYou enjoy working in an agile team environment and are self-driven, structured, and responsible.\nYou are always willing to familiarize yourself with new topics, contribute ideas, and stay informed about new developments and trends in IT.\nStrong communication skills in English, and ideally in German.\nWillingness to live in or near Sofia and join our office team 2-3 days per week.\nWhat you can expect from us\nFlexible working time (8 hrs per day): Design your schedule without fixed core hours, work remotely, and switch between office and mobile work.\nVacation: You receive 25 vacation days\nDevelopment: Continuous learning is important to us -
