You will be joining a cross functional development team which has a philosophy of continuous improvement, and a strong focus on engineering excellence.\nThis role is part of a growing team focussed on providing the core services that underpin our apps and websites, ensuring our customers are provided with world-class innovative investment solutions and services.\nWe are on the lookout for an experienced Full Stack Engineer who can help architect, build and deploy apis, web apps, data layers, and 3rd party integrations across the stack, from NodeJS (Typescript), MongoDB, React, and cloud-native solutions in AWS.\nWhat to expect:\nHands-on with full stack feature development, working with other engineers across different disciplines in a dedicated product-aligned squad\nA dynamic, cross-functional Agile squad with a continuous improvement mindset, and autonomy to do the right thing\nWorking closely with Product, UX and Business colleagues, as well as mobile and web engineers, to propose new solutions and pilot ideas that help customers Feel Good Investing\nEmbrace a ‘build it, run it, own it’ DevOps mentality, nurturing code from idea all the way to production\nTech Competency\n5+ years commercial experience developing web applications and APIs with some of the following; Node (Typescript), React, PHP, .NET core, MongoDB and/or SQL.\nExperience in developing HTTP-based APIs and implementation of RESTful services, as well as GraphQL\nThorough understanding of CI/CD pipelines with experience of Jenkins and/or CodePipeline\nPractices Test Driven Development and is comfortable with various test frameworks and concepts.\nFamiliarisation with containerisation and tools like Docker, ECS or Kubernetes\nExperience of developing, deploying, and maintaining Cloud-Based solutions on AWS\nStrong technical background in web development with Javascript frameworks would be ideal\nUnderstand the principles behind what makes a high performing web page\nOther required skills:\nDemonstrable experience working with stakeholders from product management and other business areas to design and deliver a solution\nAn interest in user experience and an appreciation for helping to solve the problem customers have\nA keen eye for detail and ability to articulate and digest technical and non-technical requirements to others\nAbout AJ Bell\nAJ Bell is one of the UK’s fastest-growing investment platform businesses, providing award-winning solutions for everyone, from professional financial advisers to first-time investors.\nToday, over 762,000 customers trust us to manage more than £121.5 billion of assets.
