Driven by a growth mindset and a fierce will to win, we refuse to settle and constantly push engineering boundaries.\nRole Overview\nAs a Sr. Backend Engineer II in the Investment team, you own backend services behind stock trading from design to production: order flow, market data, portfolio and settlement-related processes. You take on larger and more complex features, make sound design decisions under real traffic, and mentor engineers around you.\nDesign, build and run scalable, secure backend services and APIs for trading, market data and portfolio features.\nOwn larger features and services end to end, including monitoring, alerting and on-call follow-up.\nDesign for correctness first: accurate money and quantity handling, idempotent requests, safe retries and audit trails.\nKeep services fast and stable at market open and during peak volume, and plan capacity ahead of known events.\nIntegrate with exchange, clearing, bank and other external systems, and make those integrations resilient to failure.\nLead design reviews and give thoughtful code reviews.\nInvestigate production incidents, run root cause analysis and ship lasting fixes.\nMentor mid-level engineers and share knowledge within the team.\nWork with Product, Operations and Compliance to turn requirements into reliable solutions.\nRequirements\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.\nExperience: 5+ years of professional backend engineering, with a track record of owning production services under high traffic.\nLanguages: Strong in Java, Go or another modern backend language.\nSystem Design: Solid understanding of microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven design, and reliability and observability practices.\nData & Messaging: Hands-on with relational and NoSQL databases (query tuning), caching (Redis) and messaging (Kafka).\nInfrastructure: Experience running services on cloud platforms (GCP or AWS), with containers and CI/CD.\nMindset & Domain: Ownership mindset and clear communication.
