Our SRE team works on tooling and software that monitors and improves the reliability, scalability, security, and usability of Cloud IAM applications.\nAs a Manager Site Reliability Engineering, you will be responsible for:\nManaging and mentoring a team of talented SRE engineers and unblocking team members with regards to technical and process hurdles.\nPartnering with stakeholders to understand and shape the product roadmap.\nTaking ownership for technical and product innovation, exercising design thinking, analyzing systems and developing solutions.\nOrganizing and operating in an Agile environment to drive SRE activities.\nFocusing on team goals and building collaborative and effective working relationships through establishing commitments, accountability and trust.\nContributing to internal research processes, methodologies, and approaches to create and share best practices\nDiagnosing system performance and reliability together with the team of Site Reliability Engineers\nDo what you love\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave 10+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.\nPossess experience in SRE or Development role, working with large scale distributed systems.\nHave experience leading and mentoring a team.\nHave experience building with cloud native technologies and cloud deployments at scale.\nDemonstrate experience with Container Runtimes (e.g. docker, containers, etc), Go, Python, or Bash scripting\nBe familiar with software development practices and product life cycles through build, test, deploy, and iterative environments.\nAbout us\nAt Akamai, we make life better for billions of people, trillions of times a day.\nWhether you're streaming live events, scrolling social media, watching your favorite series, or managing your savings, we're the engine behind the scenes. The base salary for this position ranges from 129,400 - 232,800 CAD/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
