You'll diagnose hardware problems, facilitate equipment repairs, manage Akamai's hardware assets, and interact with datacenter and ISPs staff.\nAs a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for:\nManaging remote hardware assets and troubleshooting issues remotely\nWatching alarms from servers, routers, switches, and operating systems.\nResponding to alerts according to SLA and determine severity.\nSupporting the resolution of high-severity technical incidents\nDesigning, developing, and maintaining alerts and runbooks to improve fault detection and operational visibility\nInstalling, configuring, and optimizing network infrastructure while developing operational tools, automation, and technical documentation to support it effectively and efficiently.\nDo what you love\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave 1-2 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent\nHave experience in network technologies and basic knowledge of networking\nBe passionate about building productive relationships with customers, teams, providers, and partners\nHave experience with with data center portals and with NOC or similar environment\nReside in Bogota city or close by, so there's availability for data center visits occasionally.\nHave Advanced English and availability for a working schedule of 5 days on, 2 days off (including weekend days)\nAbout us\nAt Akamai, we make life better for billions of people, trillions of times a day.\nWhether you're streaming live events, scrolling social media, watching your favorite series, or managing your savings, we're the engine behind the scenes.
