You will oversee budgets, track critical path schedules, and ensure compliance with building standards. Working remotely and on-site, you will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver successful data center projects.\nAs a Project Manager Data Center Construction, you will be responsible for:\nManaging day-to-day construction activities across multiple multi-megawatt data center projects\nWorking with contractors and engineering teams, develop project schedules and track critical paths from equipment purchase through installation and completion\nManaging project budgets, tracking actual spending, and managing service order scope changes\nEnsuring project compliance with contractual terms, local building codes, and OSHA regulations\nProviding regular progress reports covering timelines, budget updates, and construction status\nCollaborating with equipment vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to drive project execution\nDo what you love\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree\nHave 4+ years of direct contract administration experience\nBe well versed with electrical, mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, BMS/EMS, and security systems\nHave 4+ years of experience tracking pre-construction, mobilization, construction documents, permitting, commissioning, and project closeout\nDemonstrate solid technical skills, effective communication, and willingness to travel to project sites\nBe knowledgeable in construction law, business practices, and Microsoft Project applications\nBe willing to travel periodically within the U.S. and hold a valid U.S. driver's license\nAbout us\nAt Akamai, we make life better for billions of people, trillions of times a day.\nWhether you're streaming live events, scrolling social media, watching your favorite series, or managing your savings, we're the engine behind the scenes. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $105,400 - $189,600/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
