You'll collaborate across teams to implement solutions, enhance detection accuracy, and provide insights that shape strategy and performance.\nAs a Senior Data Scientist, on a typical day you will be:\nAnalysing large customer datasets (trillions of records a day), gaining insights and building models.\nDeveloping and implementing detection rules and models to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the security products.\nImproving processes to collect, manipulate, present, and analyze large datasets in a production-ready environment\nTroubleshooting production issues in a very distributed environment\nDo what you love\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave experience working on large datasets using SQL/Spark and Python.\nHave a good understanding of probability, statistics and machine learning algorithms/techniques.\nDemonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and enjoy troubleshooting to identify and resolve complex issues.\nHave the confidence to speak up in front of senior or principal data scientists and engineers.\nPractical knowledge of application security products such as bot or fraud detection.\n\nBuild your career at Akamai\nOur ability to shape digital life today relies on developing exceptional people like you.
