Responsibilities include contributing to technical decisions, enhancing existing solutions, and creating automation to improve efficiency, reliability, and security in infrastructure operations.\nAs a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:\nDeveloping and maintaining infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions to manage systems consistently at scale.\nManaging and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, including lifecycle management, upgrades, and troubleshooting.\nImproving CI/CD pipelines, software delivery workflows, and artifact management processes.\nMaintaining solutions for secrets management, certificate lifecycle management, and PKI.\nAutomating repetitive operational tasks through scripting, reusable tooling, and standardized workflows.\nTroubleshooting complex issues across Linux systems, infrastructure services, and Kubernetes environments, identifying root causes and implementing lasting solutions.\nImproving the reliability, security, and maintainability of the infrastructure platform in collaboration with other engineering teams.\nDo what you love\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave significant experience in Site Reliability Engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or a similar technical role.\nDemonstrate expertise in Linux administration and experience overseeing production infrastructure effectively.\nHave hands-on experience with configuration management and infrastructure automation tools.\nHave experience operating Kubernetes clusters and troubleshooting containerized environments.\nHave experience with CI/CD systems and an understanding of software build, delivery, and artifact management workflows.\nHave knowledge of secrets management, certificate management, or PKI solutions.\nHave scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, or a similar language, with a focus on automation.\nTroubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve incidents to maintain service-level objectives and agreements.\nAbout us\nAt Akamai, we make life better for billions of people, trillions of times a day.\nWhether you're streaming live events, scrolling social media, watching your favorite series, or managing your savings, we're the engine behind the scenes.
