As a Senior SDET at Akamai, this role involves building, validating, and releasing software for ARM-based platforms. Collaboration with international cross-functional teams, including stakeholders and developers, ensures the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

• ARM & System Engineering: Work with ARM64/AArch64 and Linux environments, troubleshooting architecture-specific issues across applications, libraries, operating systems, and system resources.
• Developing automation and scripts with Python and Shell while enhancing CI/CD pipelines to optimize build reliability, validation, and release efficiency.
• Investigating complex build and runtime failures using system-level tools, logs, core dumps, and debugging techniques to identify root causes.
• Building infrastructure: Collaborating with compilers, linkers, dependencies, cross-compilation, and build systems like CMake, Make, GCC, and Clang.
• Working in an agile environment and collaborating with geographically distributed engineering teams.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Possess 5+ of relevant experience in SDET, software engineering, build/release engineering, or a related field within computer science.
• Demonstrate hands-on expertise with Linux/Unix systems, ARM64/AArch64 architecture, and system testing using physical HIL setups or target emulators.
• Have strong programming and scripting skills in Python and Shell, with experience developing automation for build, validation, and release processes.
• Demonstrate expertise in CI/CD and source-control tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Git while resolving pipeline issues.
• Exhibit outstanding debugging and root-cause analysis skills using tools such as GDB, strace, perf, valgrind, core dumps, and Linux utilities.
• Have experience validating DevSecOps security controls (SonarQube, Blackduck, SBOM, Cosign) and automated testing of REST APIs, microservices, and SQL databases.
