You'll join a fast-growing, values-driven team tackling complex engineering challenges.\nIn this role you will be:\nDesigning advanced security controls to discover and manage shadow AI, GenAI, and AI agents across SaaS and desktop apps.\nTaking ownership of a mission-critical, cloud-native microservice architecture that safeguards millions of workspaces globally, ensuring high availability and reliability.\nDeveloping enforcement capabilities on the endpoint, including OS-level components as part of Akamai's endpoint agent.\nLeveraging AI frameworks and tools to build AI-powered security capabilities.\nWorking across the stack, from OS-level components to our cloud backend services and React-based management console.\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Product Management, and Security Experts, to rapidly release secure, scalable code multiple times per day.\nDo what you love\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave at least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.\nHave a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, an equivalent technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\nBe highly proficient in at least one of the following: Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, or Rust.\nHave hands-on experience in data modeling and relational databases.\nHave experience building complex data pipelines and high-throughput architectures, specifically utilizing event-streaming technologies like Kafka.\nDemonstrate experience developing cloud-native microservices using modern cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, or Azure).\nBe familiar with containerization, orchestration, and GitOps workflows using Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and ArgoCD.\nBuild your career at Akamai\nOur ability to shape digital life today relies on developing exceptional people like you.
