Our Server Tech Services team works on hardware and network issues on Akamai's infrastructure.\nPartner with the best\nAs a Server Tech Services Engineer, you will work on troubleshooting hardware and network issues on Akamai servers across APJ. This infrastructure delivers Akamai's Content Distribution Network as well as our Internet Security products.\nAs a Server Tech Services Engineer, you will be responsible for:\nDiagnosing hardware and network issues remotely\nFacilitating server repairs working with ISP and Field Engineers to fix those issues\nCoordinating return of Akamai equipment back to the warehouse/vendors\nWorking with the hardware engineering team to identify and resolve different types of hardware issues occurring after the equipment are deployed\nMonitoring hardware failure patterns and proactively reporting to Hardware Engineering and vendors\nManaging Akamai's hardware assets\nDo what you love\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nBachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in technology or related field or relevant Professional Experience\nHave 1+ years of hands-on network and server hardware experience in fault diagnosis\nHave basic knowledge of server hardware technologies such as types of hard drives, RAMs, motherboards and RAID\nHave basic knowledge of layer 1 and 2 troubleshooting skills, OSI Model and Unix/Linux command-line interface (CLI)\nHave exposure to Data center technologies and infrastructure\nBe able to to maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, third party service providers and vendors\nDemonstrate exceptional analytical skills, the ability to systematically gather relevant information and use that information to troubleshoot and resolve issues\nBe able to occasionally work in non-office hours\nAbout us\nAt Akamai, we make life better for billions of people, trillions of times a day.\nWhether you're streaming live events, scrolling social media, watching your favorite series, or managing your savings, we're the engine behind the scenes.
