Collaborating with sales partners, you'll facilitate product adoption and account growth for Akamai and our customers.\nAs a Solutions Engineer II, you will be responsible for:\nCreating sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers.\nManaging the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate.\nTracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customer's needs.\nLeading sales activities such as Technical Demos, Customer Analysis Reports (CAR's) and Proof of Concepts (POC's).\nMaximizing customer satisfaction, retention, and growth based on the customer's needs and business requirements.\nDo what you love\nTo be successful in this role you will:\nHave at least 3 years working in a customer-facing or consulting role in technical pre-sales/sales engineering/post-sales.\nHave a High School / Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or another related field\nDemonstrate understanding of the internet, including but not limited to technologies like TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), APIs etc.\nHave experience or an interest in working with DevOps, Media or Internet Security\nHave excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences.\nBe a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment\nAbout us\nAt Akamai, we make life better for billions of people, trillions of times a day.\nWhether you're streaming live events, scrolling social media, watching your favorite series, or managing your savings, we're the engine behind the scenes.
