The role will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, technical teams and project stakeholders to understand business requirements, support data migration activities, and ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of migrated data.\nThe successful candidate will act as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business requirements into clear functional requirements and supporting data mapping, validation, reconciliation and issue resolution throughout the migration lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nBusiness Analysis & Requirements\nEngage with business stakeholders to understand business processes, requirements and data-related needs.\nGather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.\nTranslate business requirements into clear specifications for technical and data teams.\nIdentify gaps, dependencies, risks and potential impacts associated with data migration activities.\nSupport process analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement.\nData Migration & Mapping\nSupport end-to-end data migration activities, from source-system analysis through to validation of migrated data.\nAnalyse source and target data structures and support data mapping and transformation requirements.\nWork with technical teams to understand data extraction, transformation and loading processes.\nReview migration rules and business logic to ensure they align with agreed requirements.\nSupport data cleansing and identification of data quality issues prior to migration.\nData Validation & Reconciliation\nDevelop and execute data validation and reconciliation activities to verify migrated data.\nPerform data analysis using SQL and other appropriate analytical tools.\nCompare source and target datasets to identify discrepancies, missing records, duplicates or inconsistencies.\nInvestigate data quality issues and work with technical teams and business stakeholders to determine root causes and appropriate resolutions.\nDocument validation results, exceptions and remediation actions.\nSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and migration-related testing activities.\nStakeholder Management\nCollaborate closely with business users, developers, data engineers, QA/testing teams and project managers.\nFacilitate discussions to clarify requirements, data issues and business rules.\nCommunicate findings, risks, issues and progress clearly to relevant stakeholders.\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of migration and validation issues.\nDocumentation & Reporting\nMaintain clear documentation covering requirements, data mappings, validation rules, reconciliation results and identified issues.\nPrepare status updates, issue logs and progress reports for project stakeholders.\nSupport the development of process flows, functional specifications and other project documentation.\nRequired Skills & Experience\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related discipline.\nProven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within data migration, digital transformation or system implementation projects.\nHands-on experience with data validation, data reconciliation and data quality analysis.\nStrong working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.\nExperience with data mapping, source-to-target analysis and migration requirements.\nStrong understanding of business requirements gathering and functional documentation.\nExperience working with both business and technical stakeholders in cross-functional project environments.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.\nGood understanding of UAT, test scenarios and defect/issue management.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills.\nDesirable Experience\nExperience supporting large-scale system or platform migration projects.\nExposure to ETL processes and data transformation concepts.\nExperience with data quality, master data or data governance initiatives.\nFamiliarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau or other data analysis/visualisation tools.\nExperience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.\nExperience within regulated, financial services, technology or other data-intensive environments.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nWe are looking for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable working across both business and technical environments.
