In this freelance role, you'll be called on to support specific client projects and to help absorb overflow work when our internal team's capacity is stretched, such as during high-volume news cycles, launches, or when multiple client deadlines land at once. We're looking for someone who can jump in quickly, deliver quality work with minimal ramp-up time, and scale their involvement up or down as our needs shift.\nWhat You'll Be DoingLead and support the implementation of web and digital services projects such as website design and development, multimedia development, graphic design, electronic communications, database or IT tool design and development, and performance tracking and analysis. \nSupport the management and maintenance of the client website environment, including website design, configuration, updates, control/access monitoring, and archiving functions. \nDevelop and manage the processes for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and archiving web and digital content. \nDesign all digital products and interfaces to meet Section 508 compliance and other client accessibility standards\nEnsure designs support plain language principles for federal communications\nDesign mobile-first responsive experiences optimized across all device sizes\nCreate wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups for client review and stakeholder feedback\nDevelop and document design systems and component libraries for consistency and maintainability\n\nRequirementsMust have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience.
