Uses appropriate chemicals, supplies, and tools for each task.\nProvides preventative cleaning service for occupied patient areas according to the Ten Step Interactive Cleaning and High-Profile Cleaning Procedures. Performs discharge cleaning of patient areas according to the Interactive Discharge Procedure.\nPerforms terminal cleaning of walls, lights, and ceilings, including the use of UV light technology.\nAdheres to all hospital and department standards for patient and guest relations. Promotes a positive image of Akron Children's Hospital.\nMaintains high standards, works at a steady pace, and achieves high QA scores.\nPerforms discharge cleaning of patient areas according to discharge procedures.\nFill in to support other Support Services areas as needed to ensure operational efficiency.\nFollows written and verbal instructions accurately and completes other duties as assigned.\nOther information:\nTechnical Expertise\nProficiency in operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools commonly used in environmental services.\nKnowledge of appropriate cleaning solutions, chemicals, and supplies, including their correct usage and safety protocols.\nFamiliarity with cleaning techniques for various surfaces and areas, ensuring effective removal of dirt, stains, and pathogens.\nAbility to perform specialized cleaning tasks, such as terminal cleaning, including cleaning walls, lights, and ceilings, and utilizing UV light technology.\nUnderstanding of infection control practices and procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.\nStrong attention to detail and adherence to quality assurance standards to achieve high-quality cleaning outcomes.\nCapacity to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and efficiently.\nAnnual Respiratory Mask Fitting and recertification training
