Understands the business, financials, industry, customers and strategy.2. Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains, develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.3. Works in coordination with the Director of Facilities in departmental oversight. \n4. Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls. \n5. Oversees the daily operation of the Facilities Maintenance Department. \n6. Assigns all work to the Facilities Maintenance crew. \n7. Provides direction when needed. \n8. Communicates Engineering/Maintenance issues to internal hospital departments and external contacts. \n9. Assists in the oversite and management of projects to be performed by Facilities Maintenance and Construction Staff and external contractors within individual hospital departments. \n10. Assist contractors with Engineering issues using architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing blueprints and drawings. \n11. Plans, schedules, and communicates to hospital departments any infrastructure shutdowns due to construction activity [e.g. electric, plumbing, HVAC]. \n12. Supervises preventive and breakdown maintenance. \n13. Follows and enforces building codes, NFPA, environmental, and life safety regulations. \n14. Follows and enforces Joint Commission and CMS regulations. \n15. This position requires a higher degree of technical experience and greater demands on leadership ability due to size and scope of campus, work orders, and direct reports. \n16. Other duties as required.\nOther information:\nTechnical Expertise\n1. Experience with building codes, NFPA, environmental, and life safety regulations is required. \n2. Experience in Joint Commission and CMS regulatory bodies is required. \n3. Experience in building maintenance is required. \n4. Experience with electric, plumbing, HVAC is required. \n5. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required. \n6. Experience in healthcare is preferred. \n7. High level of proficiency with CMMS software is required.\nEducation and Experience\n\n1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred. \n2. Certification: CHFM, HVAC Universal 608, or CLSS-HC is preferred. \n3. Years of relevant experience: 5 years minimum required. \n4. Years of experience supervising: 3 years minimum required. \n5.
