Our Group employs approximately 2000 people from 41 different nationalities, which contributes to our multicultural and multi-national environment.\nEmirates Electrical Engineering is a specialized business platform that provides comprehensive turnkey solutions combining development, financing, construction and operation of solar rooftops for commercial and industrial building in the UAE, also a responsive and flexible organization dedicated for the design and construction of turnkey electrical power projects such as High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks and Transmission Lines.\nJob Purpose\nThe Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and coordination of electrical systems in construction and renovation projects. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, the role involves preparing technical drawings, load calculations, and system layouts while ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. The Electrical Design Engineer also works closely with MEP teams, architects, and contractors to develop efficient and cost-effective electrical solutions.\nJob Responsibilities\nDesign & Engineering:\nDevelop electrical system designs, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), load schedules, lighting layouts, power distribution, and ELV systems.\nPerform short circuit calculations, voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing to ensure system efficiency.\nEnsure compliance with ADDC, ADM, Civil Defense, and other regulatory authorities in Abu Dhabi.\nCoordinate with mechanical and structural teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.\nManage drafting teams assigned for each project.\nProject Coordination & Reporting:\nPrepare and submit technical reports, BOQs, and material specifications to the Senior Electrical Engineer for review and approval.\nConduct design reviews and clash detection to resolve coordination issues before construction.\nLiaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment on technical specifications.\nCompliance & Quality Control:\nEnsure all designs comply with IEEE, NEC, IEC, and local authority standards.\nConduct risk assessments and feasibility studies to optimize design solutions.\nSupport the Senior Electrical Engineer in ensuring project designs meet energy efficiency and sustainability goals.\nSoftware & Tools:\nUtilize AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, ETAP, and other relevant electrical design software.\nPrepare 3D models and simulations for accurate design representation.\nJob Requirements\nEducation & Experience:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.\nExperience: 5-10 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in the MEP or hotel construction sector.\nSkills\nElectrical System Design - Expertise in designing power distribution, lighting, ELV, and grounding systems.\nLoad Calculations & SLDs - Ability to perform electrical load calculations, short circuit studies, and develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).\nSoftware Proficiency - Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, ETAP, and electrical design tools.\nMEP Coordination - Collaborating with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection teams for integrated design.\nCompliance & Standards - Knowledge of IEC, NEC, BS, DEWA, ADDC, ADM, and ESTIDAMA requirements.\nLighting Design & Control - Designing lighting layouts and specifying control systems for energy efficiency.\nExtra Low Voltage (ELV) Systems - Experience in designing BMS, access control, CCTV, fire alarms, and telecom systems.\nVoltage Drop & Short Circuit Analysis - Conducting electrical simulations and analysis for system efficiency.\nSpecification & BOQ Preparation - Writing technical specifications and preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ).\nSustainability & Energy Efficiency - Implementing energy-saving strategies and green building practices.\nCertifications:\nADDC and DEWA approval (preferred only) \nThis is a talent pooling role.
