The role ensures that mechanical systems ;including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and associated services,are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, statutory regulations, and safety standards. The position also involves mentoring site engineers, coordinating with other disciplines, managing subcontractors, and ensuring timely project delivery with high quality and cost efficiency.\nJob Responsibilities\nSite Leadership & Supervision:\nLead and supervise mechanical site activities per drawings, specifications, and safety standards\nManage engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors efficiently\nOversee HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and related works\nAllocate manpower, materials, and tools effectively\nCoordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams\nDesign & Technical Oversight:\nReview shop drawings, submittals, and method statements\nProvide technical solutions and support value engineering\nTesting, Commissioning & Handover:\nOversee testing and commissioning of systems\nCoordinate inspections with consultants and clients\nEnsure O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and handover documents are complete\nQuality & Compliance:\nImplement QA/QC procedures and ensure compliance with regulations (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA)\nConduct inspections and resolve non-conformities\nPlanning & Reporting:\nPrepare schedules, programs, and progress reports\nMonitor productivity, identify risks, and implement mitigation\nMaintain accurate project documentation\nSafety & Risk Management:\nEnsure adherence to HSE policies\nConduct safety briefings and manage risks\nClient & Stakeholder Coordination:\nAct as main contact for mechanical works\nAttend meetings and ensure client requirements are met\nJob Requirements\nExperience:\n8-12 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with strong exposure to MEP construction projects\n3-5 years in a senior/lead mechanical site role\nProven experience in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and building services systems\nSkills:\nLeadership & Team Management - Ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors\nSite Execution - Strong hands-on experience in supervision and coordination of mechanical works\nQuality & Compliance - Knowledge of QA/QC processes and industry standards\nProject Coordination - Effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams\nPlanning & Scheduling - Ability to manage timelines and track progress\nProblem Solving - Strong technical troubleshooting skills\nSoftware - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office; Revit and HVAC tools are an advantage\nCost Awareness - Focus on material control and cost-efficient execution\nCertifications:\nCertifications such as LEED or PMP are an advantage but not mandatory\nAt Al Rostamani Group, we seek talented people who work hard to achieve great things.
