Technical Design & Construction DocumentationLead the development of detailed architectural drawing packages, including construction details, building envelope/facade systems, wall sections, interior assemblies, and waterproofing systems.\n\nTranslate schematic architectural concepts into precise, buildable technical solutions without compromising design intent.\n\nEstablish and enforce technical standards, BIM/CAD layering protocols, and graphic presentation quality across project deliverables.\n\n2. Code Compliance & Authority ApprovalsReview designs against relevant local building codes, zoning bylaws, accessibility standards (e.g., ADA, local regulations), and life safety/fire protection codes (NFPA, IBC, or equivalent).\n\nPrepare, organize, and submit technical documentation packages for authority building permits and regulatory approvals; liaise with municipal reviewers to resolve technical comments.\n\n3. Multi-Disciplinary CoordinationDirect multidisciplinary coordination between Architectural, Structural, MEP, Civil, Facade, and Fire Life Safety engineering teams.\n\n4. Technical Specifications & Material SelectionResearch, select, and specify building materials, products, assemblies, and finishes based on durability, sustainability, cost, and technical performance.\n\nWrite or review comprehensive CSI 3-part or Master Format/NBS technical specifications and schedules (door/window, finishes, hardware).\n\nQualifications & Experience\nEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch) or Architectural Engineering from an accredited university.\n\nExperience:\n7–12+ years of architectural experience, with a heavy emphasis on technical delivery, construction documentation, and site administration.\n\nProven track record in an Architectural Consultancy or Design-Build firm handling complex mid-to-large-scale projects (commercial, residential, mixed-use, or institutional).\n\nTechnical Skills & Software Proficiency\nCodes & Specs: Deep familiarity with International Building Code (IBC), local authority codes, fire safety codes, ADA/accessibility guidelines, and specification systems (MasterFormat/Speclink/NBS).\n\nBuilding Science: Strong understanding of building envelopes, waterproofing, curtain wall systems, thermal performance, and sustainable design standards (LEED, BREEAM).\n\nCore Competencies & Soft Skills\nRigorous attention to detail and strong technical problem-solving capabilities.\n\nExcellent technical communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and client representatives.\n\nLeadership skills to mentor junior technical staff and drafts people.\n\nAbility to manage technical deadlines and maintain quality control across fast-paced project
