We are seeking a DevOps Engineer (3-5 years of experience) to build and maintain the CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud deployment frameworks that support Alarm.com's engineering organization. This role focuses on build and release work including managing pipelines, deployments, and the infrastructure behind them. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations, and Release Management to modernize build and release workflows, reduce operational toil, and improve reliability, performance, and developer productivity.\nThis position is based on-site at our corporate headquarters in Tysons Corner, Virginia.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks\nBuild and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices\nOwn provisioning, configuration, and deployment automation for the services you support\nManage build and release environments (VMs, containers, and cloud resources)\nWork with Kubernetes (RKE2 and AKS) and ArgoCD to deploy and maintain services using GitOps practices\nMonitor system performance, scalability, availability, and security using Grafana dashboards and alerts\nTroubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure issues, and deployment failures, including escalations from the engineering teams we support\nDocument processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts\nParticipate in the team's on-call rotation after an initial ramp-up period\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience required\n3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Build & Release Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering\nProficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (C#, Java, Python, PowerShell, or similar)\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitHub Actions\nSolid scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Bash\nWorking experience with Azure and/or AWS\nWorking experience with Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform\nComfortable administering Windows Server and/or Linux systems\nAble to troubleshoot production issues and drive them to resolution with limited direction\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including with engineers outside the DevOps organization\nPlease note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.\nWHY WORK FOR ALARM.COM?\nCollaborate with outstanding people: We hire only the best.
