Reporting to the VP, Forward Deployed Engineering GTM, you will work directly with customers to design, build and deploy software and applied AI solutions that solve real operational problems, and own them from discovery through production. \nThis is a hands-on builder role. You will take customer projects from scoping through to a working solution. On larger enterprise projects, you and the FDEs work as a team from the start: you take on the solution design and support initial build. Success in this role requires strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and the ability to build what you design. \nWhat You’ll Do\nCustomer Engagement\nCollaborate with the Revenue and Customer Success teams to understand customer needs, challenges, and objectives.\nEngage with customers’ operational and technical stakeholders, including CIOs, to understand their workflows, business goals and technical requirements, and to define measurable success criteria. \nConduct discovery sessions, workshops, and presentations to gather information and provide insights on solution design and implementation. \nSolution Design and Build\nTranslate customer requirements into comprehensive solution designs that leverage and influence AlayaCare’s SaaS platform capabilities.\nDevelop innovative and scalable solutions that align with industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.\nDesign, build, test and deploy customer-facing applications and applied AI agents, combining deterministic workflows with AI-powered steps where useful. \nArchitect solutions that combine customer systems and healthcare platforms using APIs and data integrations, and take projects through to completion without a handoff when they do not need heavy backend or infrastructure work. \nCreate architectural diagrams, documentation, and other artifacts to communicate the proposed solution to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nCollaborate with thebroaderFDE team to validatetechnical feasibility and refine the solution design based on implementation constraints and considerations. \nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with the sales and account management teams to develop compelling proposals, including solution design, implementation timeline, and cost estimates.\nEngage deeply with AlayaCare’s Platform Architecture team to further develop the extensibility platform.\nWork closely with project managers and other internal teams to ensure successful delivery and implementation of the designed solutions.\nPartner closely with FDEs throughout larger projects: scope together, pair on complex integrations and backend-heavy work, and share customer context so delivery continues smoothly after your handoff. \nOwnership and Reuse \nOwn solutions through launch and production: monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and improve reliability and customer outcomes.\nBuild reusable components and integration patterns that make future customer deployments faster and easier to maintain. \nIndustry and Product Knowledge\nStay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to the home care sector.\nContinuously expand knowledge of AlayaCare’s SaaS platform, its features, and functionalities, to effectively propose optimal solutions to customers.\nDrive external endpoint development based on solution requirements.\nUse AI development tools responsibly to build and ship faster. \nWhat You Bring to the Team\nBachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. \nHands-on development skills in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience building applications, APIsand integrations; comfortable with SQL and Git. \n2-3 years professional software engineering experience.\nProven experience in a solution architecture role, preferably within the SaaS industry or healthcare sector.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks and propose mitigation strategies.\nExperience working with interoperability standards like HL7 FHIR and integration engines such as Iguana and Mirth.\nStrong understanding of software development principles, system integration, and cloud-based architectures.\nExperience engaging with CIOs and other high-level technical decision-makers.\nProficiency in creating architectural diagrams and documentation using standard tools and methodologies.\nFamiliarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the healthcare industry (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) considered an asset.\nAbility to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nMaster’s degree in a related field is considered an asset.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills in both French and English, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
