This position will be on-site.\nWhat you will do\nLead capital projects from concept development through commissioning, serving as the single point of accountability for project delivery\nDefine project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with engineering, operations, and site leadership\nDevelop and execute comprehensive project plans, including cost estimates, schedules, risk mitigation strategies, and resource planning\nManage project performance to meet or exceed safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives\nCoordinate and lead cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across engineering, operations, and leadership\nOversee engineering design, contractor performance, and EPC activities to ensure high-quality execution\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal project controls while promoting continuous improvement and constructability best practices\nWhat you bring\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)\n5+ years of experience leading capital projects in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments\nProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence diverse stakeholders\nStrong knowledge of project controls, including cost forecasting, scheduling, and risk management\nWorking knowledge of process safety management (PSM), management of change (MOC), and relevant regulatory requirements\nIt’d be great if you also have:\nExperience in chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments\nBackground in front-end loading (FEL) and stage-gate project development processes\nExperience managing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors\nFamiliarity with SAP Project Systems (PS) or similar project management tools\nAbility to develop, evaluate, and communicate project business cases\nStrong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex project environments\nDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence\nBenefits of joining Albemarle\nCompetitive compensation\nComprehensive benefits package\nA diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally\nWe are partners to one another in pioneering new ways to be better for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.
