We know defense and we know aircraft systems.\nWe are seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Aerospace Structural Engineerto join our advanced jet propulsion team. In this role, you will design, analyze, and validate primary and secondary structural components for next-generation propulsion and airframe mounting systems. You will ensure all structures meet strict strength, stiffness, weight, and durability requirements while collaborating closely with materials, manufacturing and testing teams.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nStructural Analysis: Perform linear and non-linear stress, buckling, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses on metallic and composite structures.\nFinite Element Modeling (FEM): Build, refine, and validate complex structural models using ANSYS, NASTRAN, or Abaqus.\nCAD Design: Create and modify 3D blueprints and engineering drawings using Catia or Siemens NX in compliance with GD&T standards.\nMaterial Testing: Define structural test plans, oversee physical load testing, and correlate test data back to analytical models.\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with aerodynamics, thermal control, and manufacturing teams to optimize weight and performance.\nLead mechanical design of complex assemblies, including enclosures, mounting structures, thermal solutions, and structural components.\nSupport hands-on integration of hardware.\nSupport troubleshooting for mechanical and system-level issues during lab and field testing.\nSupport environmental qualification aligned with standards such as MIL-STD-810.\nDevelop and execute test plans to validate mechanical performance and durability.\nSupport design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).\nContribute to technical reports, proposal efforts, and technical planning for new programs.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nRepresent Albers Aerospace on-site at the customer facility.\nMentor and manage onboarding activities for new team members.\nSupport the development of training products and present training.\nMay lead small engineering teams to support larger projects.\nNote: The duties and responsibilities described on this document are not necessarily a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time.
