We were founded in 2015 and since our establishment, we have been attracting the best talent in our fields of interest enabling us to provide cutting-edge solutions and support to our warfighters. We understand and provide expert consultation on weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs. We know defense and we know aircraft systems.\nAlbers Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electronics Engineer to support the detailed design, development, integration, and testing of advanced electronic systems for defense applications. This position will focus on mixed-signal electronics, embedded control circuitry, power management, and safety-critical electronic systems, including Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) and related technologies.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong experience in analog and digital circuit design, printed circuit board (PCB) development, electronic component selection, and hardware verification. This individual will be responsible for electrical designs throughout the product development lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping through qualification and production transition.\nThe position requires a hands-on engineer capable of moving quickly from concept to prototype to fieldable system, collaborating across multiple disciplines, balancing analytical rigor with practical execution.\nThis position operates in a fast-paced, rapid-development environment where engineers are expected to make sound technical decisions with incomplete information, rapidly mature designs, solve difficult integration problems, and balance performance, schedule, cost, producibility, and risk.\n\nEssential Job Functions:\nDesign, develop, and validate analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits for advanced defense applications. \nLead electrical design activities, including schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, circuit simulation, and design documentation. \nDevelop embedded electronic architectures incorporating microcontrollers, programmable logic devices, digital interfaces, and supporting circuitry. \nDesign and analyze power management, voltage regulation, energy storage, switching, signal conditioning, and monitoring circuits. \nSupport the development of safety-critical electronic systems, including ESADs, electronic interlocks, built-in-test functionality, and fault-monitoring circuitry. \nPerform circuit analysis and simulation to evaluate performance, component tolerances, electrical margins, and environmental considerations. \nDevelop hardware prototypes and conduct bench-level testing, debugging, and design verification. \nDefine electrical requirements, interface specifications, verification procedures, and acceptance criteria. \nDevelop and maintain electrical technical data packages, including schematics, PCB fabrication and assembly files, bills of materials, interface documentation, and test procedures. \nSupport hardware integration with mechanical assemblies, sensors, actuators, and embedded software. \nLead electrical design reviews, troubleshoot hardware failures, and perform root-cause investigations and corrective actions. \nSupport environmental qualification, production acceptance testing, and transition of electronic designs into manufacturing. \nCollaborate with systems, mechanical, software, manufacturing, quality, and test engineering teams to meet technical and program objectives. \nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and engineering technicians. \nProvide technical support for the selection and procurement of these electrical components, to include working with partner suppliers throughout the life cycle. \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related technical discipline. \n5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, or testing electronic hardware. \nDemonstrated experience in analog and digital circuit design, including mixed-signal electronic systems. \nProficiency in schematic capture and PCB design using Altium Designer, Cadence, or equivalent ECAD tools. \nExperience with circuit simulation and analysis tools such as LTspice, PSpice, or MATLAB. \nStrong understanding of electronic components, including operational amplifiers, comparators, ADCs/DACs, MOSFETs, voltage regulators, and digital logic devices. \nExperience with microcontroller-based or programmable logic-based hardware and associated digital interfaces. \nExperience with PCB bring-up, hardware troubleshooting, and design verification testing. \nProficiency with laboratory test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, and power supplies. \nAbility to interpret electrical requirements, develop technical documentation, and communicate engineering results. \nExperience supporting hardware development from prototype through qualification or production. \nAbility to work independently and manage multiple technical priorities. \nMust be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance. \nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. \n\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. \nExperience developing electronic systems for aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability applications. \nExperience with Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs), fuze electronics, or other safety-critical electronic systems. \nFamiliarity with MIL-STD-1316, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-882. \nExperience with FPGA, CPLD, or microcontroller-based control architectures. \nExperience with embedded C/C++, Python, or MATLAB for hardware interfacing, testing, and data analysis. \nExperience with power switching, capacitor charging, energy storage, and high-voltage power electronics. \nExperience with sensor interfaces, signal conditioning, and precision timing circuitry. \nKnowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for testability (DFT), and component derating practices. \nExperience developing automated test equipment, test fixtures, and production acceptance procedures. \nExperience with formal design verification, qualification testing, failure analysis, and engineering change control. \nFamiliarity with RF electronics, electromagnetic compatibility, and EMI/EMC design practices. \nActive U.S. Government security clearance. \nExperience with or working knowledge of tools commonly used in electronics design, analysis, development, and verification, including:\nPCB Design: Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, or equivalent. \nCircuit Analysis: LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB. \nEmbedded Electronics: Microcontrollers, FPGAs, CPLDs, ADCs, DACs, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN. \nAnalog Electronics: Amplifiers, comparators, filters, signal conditioning, voltage references, and power management. \nTest Equipment: Oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, electronic loads, power supplies, and logic analyzers. \nDocumentation: Electrical schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, interface control documents, test procedures, and engineering technical data packages. \nNote: The duties and responsibilities described on this document are not
