Join our team and bring your best self to the table.\nWhat you will be doing\nAs a Maintenance Technician you will be ensuring the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic equipment and completing preventative maintenance. You prioritize the safety of yourself, your coworkers, and the company.\nOur Maintenance Technicians are self-motivated and work with a sense of urgency. You work closely with Operations and the site’s many teams to increase mechanical uptime which is an integral part of the building process to produce high-quality breads, buns, and rolls for customers all throughout Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. If you’re ready to make a difference, let’s talk!\nMain responsibilities:\nAs a part of a Union environment, our team is looking for an individual that can be flexible during their probationary period. Specifically, with scheduling, you may be asked to work nights, weekends, or holidays, with appropriate notice. You may be asked to function within multiple areas of the plant. Here is a list of most of the responsibilities that may be asked of you:\nObserves all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP and Global Food Safety practices\nChangeover, repair and troubleshoot all plant production equipment \nSupport of equipment installation, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications\nIdentification of complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all associated equipment (conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers, robots); review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions\nAble to understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on Preventative Maintenance schedules\nUnderstanding of machine processing and recipe management\nPerform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed\nIdentification of the appropriate tools and equipment needed to complete the job\nResponsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as required\nMaintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiency\nAbility to work with vendors and/or contractors as required\nEnsure spare parts or services are ordered as required\nMake required changes or adjustments as required\nImplement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.)\nTrain others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficiently\nMaintain organization of spare parts\nMaintain a clean and organized work area\nPerform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor\nComplete special projects and duties as assigned\nContinuously monitor and physically inspect production equipment\nDiagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints- repair manuals- or parts catalogs- as necessary\nDismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace necessary parts\nConduct electrical repairs (i.e., wiring)\nRebuild/ fabrication of equipment\nWelding stainless steel (tubing, rods), black iron and other related materials\nComplete work orders\nMaintain logs and records\nComply with all Integrated Management System policies and procedures\nInvestigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures\nWeld- perform sheet metal work and fabrication.
