This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working collaboratively to maintain exceptional product quality.\nSchedule\nShift: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM\nDue to the seasonal nature of our business, flexibility to work adjusted schedules, overtime, weekends, or additional shifts may be required based on operational needs.\nPosition Summary\nThe Quality Assurance Technician monitors production processes and food safety programs to ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, SQF, regulatory requirements, and company standards. This role supports quality systems through product testing, audits, documentation review, environmental monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.\nCollect product samples and perform required testing, documenting and reporting results accurately.\nMaintain daily quality records and enter data into company systems.\nMonitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and associated documentation.\nPerform environmental monitoring and sanitation verification activities.\nConduct internal audits related to food safety, GMPs, and regulatory compliance.\nSupport quality hold procedures for products that are outside specification.\nCalibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory and testing equipment.\nReview production and quality documents for accuracy and compliance.\nAssist with customer complaint investigations and root cause analysis.\nSupport training initiatives related to GMPs, food safety, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.\nVerify sanitation effectiveness and support environmental programs.\nMonitor laboratory supply inventory and communicate replenishment needs.\nCommunicate quality and food safety concerns to QA leadership and plant management promptly.\nFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, food safety, and operational efficiency.\nAdhere to all Albertsons Companies policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.\nQualifications Required\nExperience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Quality Control, or a related role within a food manufacturing environment.\nWorking knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety systems.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nEffective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Windows-based systems, and mobile technology.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\nFlexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.\nPreferred\nHACCP Certification and/or SQF Practitioner Certification.\nExperience with microbiological, chemical, physical, and sensory (organoleptic) testing.\nExperience with laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.\nKnowledge of food manufacturing regulatory requirements and quality management systems.\nWhy Albertsons Companies?\nAt Albertsons Companies, our 290,000 associates are passionate about serving our customers and supporting one another.
