This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that’s constantly evolving.\nThe position will be in Melrose Park, IL.\nMain responsibilities:\nSupervise warehouse shipping and receiving activities and personnel to ensure that all functions are performed within Company, Department and Distribution Center guidelines as outlined in Distribution Center Policies and Procedures Manual and Contract.\nControls, plans, manages and coordinates the daily activities for the Warehouse for a particular shipping operation.\nUtilizes effective planning to forecast volume, staffing, and supply needs in order to meet projected productivity and expense budgets.\nSupervises warehouse activities to ensure that outgoing products are handled properly using proper training, accuracy systems and programs.\nMonitors production standards as well as meet projections for labor expenses\nCoordinates functions between shifts to effectively complete the workload, while providing excellent customer service to the stores\nWalks all areas of the warehouse to ensure building conditions are maintained and comply with Company standards, associates are working safely, potential safety hazards are identified and addressed, and potential damage is identified and corrected.\nPlans and assigns work for most efficient use of personnel and equipment.\nDevelops and maintains good working relationship with retail division and store personnel.\nAssists in the preparation and administration of department budget.\nWorks with Superintendent to ensure that safety, security, sanitation and pest control codes, laws, and policies are maintained.\nMaintains daily production and accuracy records.\nMaintains company policies and contractual agreements.\nDevelops productive associates through training, coaching and disciplining, when necessary, in order to achieve company goals and objectives.\nDevelops and maintain good working relationship with all departments within supply chain.\nPerforms other duties as assigned, to include special projects\nHas daily contact with co-workers, suppliers/vendors and customers \nWe are looking for candidates who possess the following:\nBachelor’s Degree not required but preferred\nPossess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations, with prior work experience to include lead person or supervisory duties, preferably with the Parent Company.\nPossess good supervisory skills and the ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.\nPossess good communications skills, both oral and written. Ability to read and interpret computerized reports.\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Office programs.\nRequires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe and thorough completion of work activities. Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.\nWork is performed under typical warehouse conditions.
