The Associate Scientist, QC Chemistry may also assist with method development/method validation projects. For this position, UV-Vis, Dissolution, HPLC, GC, Titration, and/or KF based methodologies are commonly employed in the described testing.\nOn-Site Expectations\n100% on-site position.\n1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.\nResponsibilities\nPerforms one or more of the following techniques: residual solvents, assays (potencies, related substances), dissolution, moisture content, identification, and other various analytical techniques.\nMaintains working knowledge of routine instrumentation, equipment, and scientific methodologies necessary to perform assigned tasks.\nPerforms assigned tasks carefully and on schedule according to standard operating procedure and supervisor instructions.\nAnalyzes information for technical correctness and accuracy.\nComplies with applicable GMPs, peer checks information and signs for GMP review. Brings aberrant information to the attention of supervisor.\nMaintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment free of safety hazards.\nSuggests improvements for safety, work quality, and productivity.\nEnsures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.\nSeeks to cultivate mentorship, build leadership skills, and foster a culture of ‘team first’.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field.\n0 - 4+ years of related work experience.\nPrior laboratory experience or work experience in Pharmaceutical, CDMO, or cGMP preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nExcellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills required.\nExcellent detail orientation and organizational skills required.\nExcellent problem-solving and basic trouble-shooting ability required.\nBasic knowledge of Laboratory equipment and safety required.\nBasic knowledge of Laboratory Documentation is required.\nWorking knowledge of cGMP in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment preferred.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.\nApplies job skills, company policies and SOPs to complete a variety of tasks.\nReceives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
