Calibration may include temperature, relative humidity, CO2, voltage, pressure, time, rotation, etc. following documented procedures using precision standards. Calibrations and Preventative Maintenance will be performed in-house and at customer sites. Create, modify, and execute calibration procedures and calibration certificates. Perform testing to support the quality management system and report, troubleshoot and make recommendations about quality issues relating to calibration. Assist in filing, data entry, and general record keeping.\nOn-Site Expectations\n100% on-site position with 90% traveling to customer sites.\n1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.\nResponsibilities\nPerform equipment and instrumentation calibration.\nInitiate remediation forms when customer equipment issues arise.\nSubmit expense reports on time.\nAccurately track time spent at a customer site, traveling, and completing paperwork.\nCollaborate with fellow technicians and customers.\nUnderstand interval and tolerance relating to calibration.\nUpdate the calibration database/equipment history.\nReport questionable calibration results to supervisor for evaluation and determination.\nAbide by ISO 17025 principles.\nMaintain good housekeeping practices.\nOther duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED required. Military, Technical School, or Associate’s Degree preferred.\nClean driving record and valid driver's license required.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nGain or maintain industry knowledge through training and seminars.\nProficiency in Office Products especially Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.\nElectronic, electrical, and mechanical skills.\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong reporting skills.\nGood organizational skills.\nHonesty, integrity and confidentiality. \nTravel Expectations\nOffsite local travel is required weekly. \nMay have opportunity to travel to other Alcami locations (i.e. NC, SC)\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. You will regularly work in a lab and office environment, occasionally work in wet or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, work in high places, near fumes or airborne particles, in outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), and be at risk of electrical shock and vibration. This position works with a moderate noise level.\nPay Range The base hourly pay range for this position is $21.54 - $25.41 per hour. Actual base salary will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, competencies, and experience, and upon joining Alcami will be reviewed periodically.
