The Packaging Technician I will operate inspection and packaging-related processing equipment by following standard operating procedures and batch records in accordance with FDA current Good Manufacturing Practices.\nOn-Site Expectations\n100% on-site position.\n1st Shift: Monday - Wednesday, 6:30am - 7:00pm & every other Thursday, 6:30am - 7:00pm.\nResponsibilities\nDocuments activities clearly and accurately.\nPerforms basic math calculations.\nOperates solid dose inspection, labeling and packaging equipment.\nOperates material handling equipment.\nPerforms in-process checks and component counting.\nPerforms cleaning of rooms, tools and equipment.\nEnsures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.\nWorks occasional hours outside of scheduled shift based on business needs, which may include weekend work.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 2+ years work experience.\nMechanical or pharmaceutical experience not required.\nMechanical aptitude or work within a regulated environment preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nGood verbal and written communication and documentation skills required.\nGood detail orientation and organizational skills required.\nGood problem-solving and basic trouble-shooting ability required.\nAbility to perform basic math calculations.\nAbility to read and comprehend detailed written instructions required.\nAbility to move materials throughout the facility using appropriate methods and equipment required.\nProficiency in basic computing skills required.\nAwareness of, or prior experience with cGMP practices and procedures preferred.\nTravel Expectations\nLess than 5% travel expected.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met or encountered by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment for specific job duties to be performed. Such personal protective equipment may include, but not limited to safety eyewear, hearing protection, various types of respirators/breathing apparatus, lab coats, full protective body coverings, various types of gloves, etc. Other tasks involving elevated work may require the use of a body harness and lanyard.
