Electrical Supervisor- North Macedonia

§ Supervise day-to-day electrical construction activities performed by the BoP and other contractors, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and applicable standards.

§ Ensure compliance of all electrical construction activities with Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations and project QHSSSE requirements, including permits to work, isolations and LOTO arrangements.

§ Supervise installation of MV cable systems, including cable laying, joints, terminations, testing, earthing and interfaces with wind turbine generators.

§ Oversee electrical works at the substation, including primary and secondary equipment installation, cable routing, control and protection systems, auxiliary systems, earthing and associated interfaces.

§ Support supervision of HV and grid-connection works, including transmission line interfaces, testing, shutdown planning, first energisation and handover activities.

§ Coordinate daily electrical interfaces with the Site Construction Manager, Electrical Engineers/Leads, Civil Supervisor, Commissioning Manager, Owner’s Engineer, WTG Supplier and contractors.

§ Monitor contractor manpower, productivity, planned versus actual progress, work-front readiness and constraints affecting electrical milestones; promptly escalate material, design, access or interface issues.

§ Perform and document site inspections and witness points in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans; verify inspection requests, checklists and test records.

§ Identify non-conformities, defective or incomplete works and interface gaps; ensure NCRs, punch-list items and technical queries are properly recorded, assigned, followed up and closed.

§ Witness electrical testing as required, including cable testing, insulation resistance, continuity and earthing measurements, functional tests, SATs and other agreed pre-commissioning tests.

§ Ensure electrical equipment is stored, preserved, handled and installed in accordance with manufacturer requirements and project quality procedures.

§ Review and validate contractor progress information related to electrical construction and provide concise daily/weekly reporting on completed works, key issues, risks, inspections and look-ahead activities.

§ Participate in key progress, coordination, technical and interface meetings with contractors and the Owner’s Engineer and report material issues to the Site Construction Manager.

§ Support system walkdowns, mechanical/electrical completion, turnover to commissioning, energisation readiness and punch-list closure in accordance with project milestones.

§ Ensure timely preparation, collection and handover of electrical as-built documentation, red-line drawings, test certificates, commissioning records and other completion dossiers.

Qualification:

§ Degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a closely related discipline.

§ Relevant electrical safety, HV/MV or construction HSE certification is highly desirable.

§ Driving Licence

EXPERIENCE:

§ 5+ years of relevant site construction experience in renewable energy, power generation, substations, transmission or large industrial projects, with strong hands-on electrical supervision experience.

§ Experience with MV cable systems is required; experience with HV substations, transmission lines and wind farm grid connection is highly desirable. Experience in international projects and/or Balkan countries is an advantage.

Job Specific Skills:

§ Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy while coordinating effectively with the Site Construction Manager, engineering team, Owner’s Engineer and multiple contractors.

§ Strong practical knowledge of electrical construction, installation, inspection and commissioning readiness for MV/HV systems.

§ Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, electrical drawings, cable schedules, protection/control schematics, technical specifications and test documentation.

§ Good understanding of electrical construction quality assurance, Inspection and Test Plans, NCR management and punch-list closure.

§ Working knowledge of safe systems of work for electrical activities, including permits to work, isolations, LOTO and energisation controls.

§ Ability to identify installation defects, constructability issues, interface risks and schedule constraints before they affect project milestones.

§ Strong contractor supervision and field coordination skills, with an evidence-based approach to acceptance of completed works.

§ Experience with testing and commissioning activities, including cable testing, earthing measurements, functional checks and SAT support.

§ Strong communication abilities and fluency in English are required, while knowledge of Macedonian is an added advantage.

§ Competent in conflict resolution and collaborative problem solving with contractors, colleagues and project stakeholders.

§ Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation applicable to construction projects.

§ PC knowledge of Microsoft applications and familiarity with document-control, punch-list or construction-management systems.

§ Awareness of regulatory and grid-interface requirements affecting electrical construction and energisation activities.

§ Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multi-contractor site environment.
