Alchemi builds AI that helps drug development teams move faster, and we already work with some of the largest pharma companies and CROs in the world.\nThe role\nWe're a small, senior engineering team, and security sits at the centre of what we deliver. Our customers are some of the most regulated organisations in the world, and their security and quality teams look closely at everything we ship. You'll own how we keep the platform and our customers' data secure, and make that easy to prove.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn application and cloud security across the platform, from design review to production.\n\nBuild and run identity and access: SSO, OAuth, tenant isolation and least-privilege access.\n\nLead customer security reviews alongside our commercial team.\n\nDrive our compliance programmes and keep the evidence behind them current.\n\nSet up monitoring, incident response and secure-by-default tooling the rest of the team can rely on.\n\nWhat we're looking for\nSeveral years as a software engineer, with real depth in security.\n\nHands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, with infrastructure as code and CI/CD.\n\nExperience with SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar frameworks, and comfort explaining controls to auditors and customers.\n\nGood judgement about risk. You know what to fix now and what can wait.\n\nLow ego. You listen first and work toward consensus.\n\nNice to have\nExperience in a regulated industry such as life sciences, healthcare or finance.\n\nDepth in identity protocols such as SAML and OIDC.\n\nHow we work\nSmall team, low process, high trust.
