For more information, visit alchemy.com.\nAbout The Role\nWe’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team and take ownership of daily AP activities, including accurate invoice coding, timely payments, vendor support, and reconciliations.\nReporting to our Procurement Manager, you’ll partner with Accounting and teams across Alchemy to keep our procure-to-pay process running smoothly across Zip, NetSuite, and Ramp. You’ll help strengthen existing processes, troubleshoot issues independently, and identify opportunities to improve how we work. This role requires attention to detail, dependability, and proactive communication.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDaily AP Operations\nManage the AP inbox, promptly process incoming invoices and requests, and serve as a primary point of contact for vendors and internal teams.\n\nReview, enter, classify, and code vendor invoices in Zip and NetSuite, ensuring complete documentation, appropriate approvals, and purchase order matching where applicable.\n\nPrepare payment batches for review and approval, monitor payment deadlines, and follow up on outstanding approvals or missing information.\n\nSupport vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor records, including tax forms, addresses, payment terms, and verified banking information.\n\nInvestigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, duplicate charges, missing credits, and payment issues; escalate exceptions when needed.\n\nReview employee expenses and corporate card transactions in Ramp for accurate coding, receipts, approvals, and policy compliance.\n\nClose Support & Special Projects\nReconcile AP activity and balances with the general ledger, investigate differences, and ensure invoices, credits, and payments are properly recorded.\n\nSupport month-end close by identifying unrecorded invoices and potential accruals and preparing supporting schedules for Accounting.\n\nMaintain vendor tax documentation, including W-9s, and support annual 1099 preparation.\n\nFollow established approval and payment controls, including verification procedures for vendor banking changes.\n\nMaintain organized records and provide AP documentation for internal reviews and external audits.\n\nSupport system updates, workflow improvements, and other projects affecting procurement, expenses, accounts payable, and FP&A.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n2-4 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting operations role, with hands-on responsibility for invoice processing and vendor support.\n\nCuriosity about how processes work and initiative to make them better.\n\nA solid understanding of invoice coding, purchase orders, payment terms, reconciliations, and basic accrual accounting.\n\nExperience with accounting or ERP systems and the ability to learn new P2P, payment, and AI tools.\n\nStrong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and reconciling data across reports.\n\nStrong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a habit of checking your work.\n\nThe ability to manage recurring deadlines, prioritize competing requests, and follow through independently.\n\nClear, practical communication and a collaborative approach to working with vendors and colleagues.\n\nNice to Haves\nExperience with NetSuite, Zip, or Ramp.\n\nExperience at a growing technology company or Big 4 accounting firm.\n\nExperience improving AP workflows or using automation to reduce repetitive work.\n\nExperience with crypto, digital assets, blockchain, or web3 is a plus, but not required.\n\nBenefits and Perks\nMedical, Dental, & Vision\nGym Reimbursement\nHome Office Build-out Budget\nIn-Office Group Meals\nCommuter Benefits\nFlexible Time Off\nWellbeing & Mental Health Perks\nLearning & Development Stipend\nCompany Sponsored Conferences & Events\nHSA and FSA Plans\nFertility Benefits\nAlchemy is committed to offering competitive compensation, including base salary as well as bonus and equity.
