Be part of it and shape your world.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Supervisor to join our WA Mining Operations Human Resources team. In this leadership role, you will drive capability development across site operations by guiding training delivery, mentoring teams and embedding high-quality learning systems.\nYou will play a pivotal role in ensuring our workforce is skilled, competent and aligned with operational and safety standards.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead, coach and develop a team of trainers and assessors to deliver high-quality training outcomes\n\nPlan and implement training programs aligned with operational priorities and workforce capability needs\n\nOversee traineeship programs and support employee development pathways\n\nMonitor and report on training performance, identifying opportunities for improvement\n\nEnsure compliance with training standards, systems and audit requirements\n\nSupport onboarding, leadership development initiatives and site-wide capability uplift\n\nWhat’s on offer\nFlexible hybrid working options available.\n\n18 weeks Parental leave for primary caregivers.\n\nOne additional paid Alcoa Flexi Day.\n\nAlcoa Live Well program offering travel, lifestyle, health and wellbeing discounts.\n\nGenerous leave entitlements including a leisure a day off every 4-week period.\n\nSalary packaging for a novated car lease, employee share plan and superannuation options.\n\nWhat you can bring to the role\nRelevant qualifications including Certificate IV in Workplace & Training\n\nExperience in workplace training and assessment within a manufacturing or operational environment\n\nStrong capability in developing training materials and applying adult learning and coaching techniques\n\nProven ability to lead, coach and mentor individuals and teams to achieve performance outcomes\n\nWell-developed communication, interpersonal and documentation skills, including report writing and content development\n\nStrong organisational, problem-solving and systems capability, including LMS, document control systems and Microsoft Office\n\nAdditional information\nInterviews may progress prior to the closing date, although all applications will be considered.\n\nYou will only be contacted if you are shortlisted for an interview, this process can take up to four weeks from the closing date.\n\nBe part of shaping our organisation and join us in building a legacy of excellence for future generations.\nAbout the Location\nHuntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra alumina refinery. Bauxite ore from Alcoa’s Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
