If you’d like to help us change the way the world sees, this is your chance to Be Brilliant!\nThe Electrical Maintenance co-op will support the Electrical Maintenance and Reliability Engineering teams in maintaining accurate electrical system documentation, updating electrical drawings, and assisting with preventive maintenance initiatives aligned with NFPA 70B standards. This role provides hands-on exposure to industrial electrical systems, CMMS processes, reliability-centered maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment\nThe Alcon team is looking for a talented and motivated co-op to join us onsite for next summer at the Johns Creek, Ga. location.\nAlcon co-ops will have the opportunity to not only gain industry experience and network with other Alcon professionals. They will also have the chance to make a real-world impact by working on meaningful projects that will help patients and customers see brilliantly. Alcon also offer co-ops personal and professional development, high visibility and coaching and mentoring opportunities.\nKey Responsibilities:\nNFPA 70B Preventive Maintenance Support\nSupport development of PM procedures\nVerify maintenance records and document compliance activities.\nAssist in identifying critical electrical assets and maintenance priorities.\nSupport collection of electrical inspection data and findings.\nReliability & Asset Management\nUpdate equipment records within the CMMS system.\nAssist with equipment hierarchy and asset tagging verification.\nSupport critical spare parts identification and inventory reviews.\nParticipate in root cause investigations of electrical failures.\nElectrical Drawing Management\nReview, update, and maintain electrical one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment drawings.\nVerify field conditions and compare against existing AutoCAD drawings.\nRedline electrical drawings based on maintenance modifications and equipment upgrades.\nSupport creation and organization of digital drawing libraries.\nField Support\nConduct facility walkdowns with maintenance personnel.\nVerify breaker, panel, transformer, and equipment labeling.\nAssist in documenting electrical system modifications.\nObserve contractors and electrical maintenance activities while maintaining safety compliance.\nSupport projects focused on:\nElectrical system reliability\nDocumentation accuracy\nPM optimization\nNFPA 70B compliance improvements\nAsset life-cycle management\nWe are interested in students from the following majors: Electrical Engineering,\nElectrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Systems Technology, Engineering Technology, or Related Technical Discipline.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to the co-op, and at least one additional semester following your co-op\nAcademic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0\nDemonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)\nMust be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis.
