If you’d like to help us change the way the world sees, this is your chance to Be Brilliant!\nPosition Description:\nJoin Alcon’s Vision Care Manufacturing team in Johns Creek, Georgia, for a Spring/Summer 2027 co-op with the LS Process Excellence team. You will gain hands-on experience supporting manufacturing performance improvements, evaluating technical solutions, and helping implement changes in a state-of-the-art contact lens production facility.\nThe Johns Creek facility is expanding its advanced manufacturing capabilities to meet growing demand, manage product complexity, and increase flexibility across contact lens products.\nIn this role, you will work with production technicians, mechanics, engineers, and managers to identify opportunities, analyze performance, and support sustainable improvements.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport LS3 overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) improvement initiatives by reviewing performance data and identifying loss-reduction opportunities.\nPlan, document, and execute engineering studies to evaluate proposed process or equipment improvements.\nAnalyze study results, summarize findings, and present recommendations to project stakeholders.\nDevelop change requests and supporting documentation for approved concepts.\nCollaborate across production, maintenance, engineering, and management to implement and sustain improvements.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to co-op, and at least one additional semester following r co-op.\nMust be pursuing at least a Bachelors degree in Communications, Human Resources, Project management, Learning & Development, Marketing, or related major.\nAcademic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0\nDemonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)\nMust be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)\nAbility to commit to a spring + summer co-op that is full time (40 hrs per week)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to analyze discrete and continuous data, identify trends, and communicate conclusions.\nStrong learning agility and the ability to become productive quickly in a manufacturing environment.\nClear written and verbal communication with production technicians, mechanics, engineers, and managers.\nAbility to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with appropriate guidance.\nFoundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and physics principles.\nBasic proficiency with computers, data-analysis tools, or programming; experience with Excel, Power BI, Python, MATLAB, or similar tools is a plus.\nEqual Employment Opportunity:\nAlcon is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
