We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon.\nAs an Associate, Industrial & Laboratory Systems Engineering supporting the IT Core Connectivity team, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the design and operation of IT and laboratory systems, offering hands-on experience and skill development in systems engineering.\nIn this role, a typical day will include:\nAct as a primary contact for infrastructure-related services, ensuring alignment with internal standards and guidelines.\nCollaborate with various teams to maintain service quality, security, and compliance.\nParticipate in service reviews, continual improvement and change management sessions.\nMonitor, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the data center, LAN, WAN, Voice & Video and Public Cloud infrastructure, focusing on resiliency and security.\nMonitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.\nMonitoring network performance to determine if adjustments are required.\nProcess ISP maintenance schedules and co-ordinate with ISP/Vendors for quick restoration of network\nDesign, implement, and maintain computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless networks and Data Center connectivity.\nWork on Voice/Video issues.\nBasic Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and its troubleshooting.\nInstall and configure network equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.\nProtecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing in accordance with the Alcon Security and compliance environment.\nConduct regular network audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.\nCollaborate with other IT teams to integrate network systems with other components, such as servers, storage, and applications.\nDevelop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.\nProvide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and other IT staff.\nTroubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network issues.\nStay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements to the network infrastructure.\nDesigning, configuring and testing networking hardware, and operating systems \nWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or IT\n2-4+ years of experience of monitoring, troubleshooting network devices including WLAN, LAN switching, Routers, SDWAN devices, Voice /Video, Cloud Operation.\nAbility to work rotating shifts.\nAbility to work at the Mexico City Alcon Network Operations Center\nService Now experience handling tickets.\nDemonstrated experience working in ITIL environments.\nAdvanced level of English\nExperience in troubleshooting and resolving incidents and major incidents. \nExperience in implementing changes and fulfilling IT Infrastructure requests. \nMust be able to work independently on complex technical issues. \nAbility to communicate and collaborate with end users and service providers. \nMust be able to solve problems in a structured and methodical way. \nProficiency with ServiceNow, ITIL, Cisco, Juniper, AWS, Azure platforms \nProven ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a complex matrix organization\nService Now experience handling tickets and creating reporting\nDemonstrated ability to drive process improvements and standardization\nExperience working with Telecom providers and supplier support organizations. \nProven experience as a Network Analyst or similar role.\nExperience working with some of the following: Cisco/Juniper products, Network
