We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon.\nAs a Freight Cost & Transportation Analytics Manager supporting our Global Supply Chain organization, you will be trusted to drive transportation cost control, freight payment governance, and transportation analytics excellence across international regions. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate freight financial management, optimizing transportation processes, and leveraging analytics to improve visibility, operational performance, and cost efficiency. In this role, a typical day will include:\nLeading freight audit and payment processes in partnership with external providers, ensuring accurate invoice validation, timely supplier payments, and seamless integration of transportation data into financial systems.\nManaging freight cost reporting, financial analysis, accrual processes, and transportation performance metrics to provide actionable insights that support business decisions and cost optimization initiatives.\nActing as the transportation subject matter expert (SME) for AERA and transportation analytics platforms, driving data quality, user adoption, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.\nCollaborating with Procurement, Transportation, Finance, Accounts Payable, Business Process Analytics (BPA), and external logistics partners to maintain carrier governance, rate administration, compliance, and operational efficiency.\nLeading and supporting supply chain and transportation projects focused on process improvement, automation, analytics capabilities, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with company policies and GxP requirements.\nWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in supply chain logistics, transportation management, freight cost control, supply chain finance, business process analytics, or similar functions.\nExperience working with freight audit and payment processes, transportation service providers, logistics partners, or freight management systems; experience with freight audit providers is highly desirable.\nStrong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide practical recommendations to support business performance.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP, transportation, supply chain, or analytics platforms.\nProven ability to work effectively across functions and interact with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.\nStrong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.\nAbility to simplify complex processes, standardize solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nStrong attention to detail, financial accuracy, and commitment to quality and compliance.\nHOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:\nPlay a critical role in shaping transportation cost visibility, analytics capabilities, and operational efficiency across a global supply chain network.\nGain exposure to cross-functional stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Transportation, and Commercial Operations while leading impactful projects.\nJoin a collaborative and innovative environment where continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and professional growth are highly valued.\nThis role collaborates extensively with global and regional stakeholders and may require occasional travel based on business needs.
