The role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information while maintaining compliance with IFRS, Local GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.\nThe position serves as a key leader within the Finance, Accounting & Audit organization, partnering closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), business stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory authorities. This role is responsible for driving process excellence, standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across R2R activities while ensuring strong governance and internal controls.\nAdditionally, the Manager II is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nFinancial Close & Reporting\nLead and oversee the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.\nEnsure compliance with IFRS, Local GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and reporting requirements.\nReview and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions, intercompany transactions, and financial schedules.\nEnsure the timely completion of financial statements and management reporting packages.\nAnalyze financial results and provide meaningful insights to management on key performance drivers and trends.\nDrive process improvements, automation initiatives, and digitization efforts to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and control effectiveness.\nMonitor close cycle performance and identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.\nGeneral Ledger & Account Reconciliation Management\nOversee all general ledger accounting activities to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.\nReview and approve balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding and reconciling items.\nEnsure proper accounting treatment for complex transactions and adherence to accounting standards.\nMaintain strong documentation standards, supporting schedules, and audit trails.\nEnsure compliance with internal control requirements and company policies.\nMonitor key reconciliation metrics and escalate risks or issues appropriately.\nStatutory Financial Reporting (Malaysia & Philippines)\nPrepare, review, and coordinate annual statutory financial statements in compliance with local regulatory requirements and accounting standards.\nEnsure timely submission and filing of statutory reports with relevant authorities.\nManage statutory reporting calendars and regulatory deadlines.\nPerform statutory-to-group reconciliation and explain variances between local statutory reports and management reporting.\nPartner with external auditors and regulatory agencies to address statutory reporting requirements.\nStay updated on emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes impacting reporting obligations.\nCorporate Tax Compliance (Malaysia & Philippines)\nOversee the preparation, review, and submission of Corporate Income Tax returns.\nManage Withholding Tax filings and reporting obligations.\nEnsure timely submission of GST, VAT, SST, and other indirect tax returns.\nSupport E-Invoicing compliance and implementation requirements.\nReview tax computations and supporting schedules for completeness and accuracy.\nCollaborate with internal and external tax advisors on tax-related matters.\nMonitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with evolving tax requirements.\n\nInternal Controls, Compliance & Audit Support\nEnsure effective internal controls are maintained across all R2R processes.\nIdentify control gaps and lead remediation activities to strengthen financial governance.\nServe as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits relating to R2R activities.\nCoordinate the preparation and submission of audit requests, supporting documentation, and management responses.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, financial controls, SOX requirements (where applicable), and regulatory standards.\nSupport risk assessments, compliance reviews, and control testing activities.\nDrive a strong culture of compliance and accountability within the organization.\nBusiness Partnering & Stakeholder Management\nCollaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, P2P, O2C, and business teams to resolve accounting issues and support operational decision-making.\nProvide financial insights, guidance, and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.\nSupport business stakeholders with accounting interpretations and financial impact assessments.\nManage relationships with regional and global finance teams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.\nAct as a trusted advisor to management on accounting, reporting, and compliance matters.\nFacilitate effective communication between finance and operational teams.\nProcess Optimization & Transformation\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, and scalability across R2R processes.\nLead continuous improvement projects focused on automation, digitization, and process simplification.\nLeverage technology and best practices to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.\nSupport finance transformation initiatives, ERP upgrades, system implementations, and shared services transitions.\nParticipate in regional and global projects to drive process harmonization and operational excellence.\nMonitor process performance metrics and implement corrective actions as required.\nTeam Leadership & Development\nLead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting and reporting team.\nEstablish clear goals, expectations, and performance standards aligned with organizational objectives.\nConduct regular one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.\nProvide technical guidance and development opportunities to enhance employee capabilities.\nFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture.\nDrive employee engagement and succession planning initiatives.\nSupport knowledge transfer, cross-training, and continuous learning within the team.\nOther Responsibilities\nSupport ad-hoc financial analysis, management requests, and special projects.\nParticipate in finance transformation, process migration, and regional initiatives.\nRun effective team meetings to align priorities, address challenges, and communicate key updates.\nSupport business continuity activities during critical reporting periods.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.\nWHAT YOU'LL BRING:\nEducation\n(minimum/desirable)\nBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.\nProfessional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.\nLanguages\nFluent in written and spoken English.\nAdditional Asian language proficiency is an added advantage to support regional stakeholder engagement.\nExperience\n8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Record-to-Report (R2R), Finance Operations, or Shared Services environments.\nMinimum 3 years of people management or supervisory experience within General Ledger or R2R functions.\nProven experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.\nStrong exposure to statutory reporting, financial accounting, tax compliance, and audit management.\nExperience within a multinational corporation, Global Business Services (GBS), or Shared Services environment is preferred.\nBig 4 external audit experience is an added advantage.\nExperience supporting finance transformation, process improvement, or ERP implementation projects is beneficial.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles.\nSolid knowledge of General Ledger accounting, account reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting.\nHands-on experience with SAP and finance ERP systems.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial analysis and reporting.\nFamiliarity with SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements.\nExperience with financial reporting and reconciliation tools such as BlackLine is an advantage.\nKnowledge of Power BI, automation technologies, and process optimization tools
