We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon.\nAs the Procurement Site Head for the manufacturing sites in Singapore (AML) and Johor (CVJ), you will be responsible for leading all site-level procurement and strategic sourcing activities across Chemicals, Primary & Secondary Packaging, CAPEX/MRO, and General Services categories. Your primary role is to ensure cost competitiveness, supply continuity, contract coverage, and strong supplier performance in support of manufacturing and business objectives. This role serves on both Site Leadership Teams as the primary procurement interface for the sites, partners closely with Operations, MS&T, Finance, and Global Procurement, and leads a high-performing local procurement team\nIn this role, a typical day will include:\nSite Leadership & Business Partnership\nServe as the primary procurement leader and point of contact for the AML and CVJ sites, ensuring full alignment with site leadership and operational priorities.\nAct as a trusted business partner to Site Leadership, Operations, MS&T, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to support production, cost, and growth objectives.\nTranslate site needs into clear sourcing strategies aligned with global procurement direction.\nStrategic Sourcing & Cost Management\nDevelop and execute category and site-level sourcing strategies to ensure cost competitiveness, risk mitigation, and supply resilience.\nIdentify, quantify, and deliver productivity, cost reduction, and value creation initiatives across direct and indirect spend.\nLead business case development, scenario analysis, and total cost of ownership evaluations to support sourcing decisions.\nSupplier Management & Risk Mitigation\nLead supplier performance management, including KPIs, scorecards, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for critical suppliers.\nEnsure contract coverage, pricing agreements, and enforcement of commercial and performance terms.\nProactively identify and mitigate supplier, capacity, and geopolitical risks impacting the AML and CVJ sites.\nBudgeting, Governance & Compliance\nOwn site-level procurement budgeting, spend tracking, and variance analysis in partnership with Finance and MS&T.\nEnsure procurement activities comply with company policies, SOX requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.\nDrive continuous improvement in procurement processes, governance, and controls.\nTeam Leadership & Capability Building\nBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing site procurement team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nChampion data-driven decision-making and adoption of procurement tools and analytics.\nWhat You'll Bring to Alcon\n· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n· 7 years of progressive experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain, preferably in a manufacturing environment.\n· Demonstrated experience leading site or regional procurement operations.\nSkills & Competencies\n· Strong strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management expertise in Chemicals, Packaging, Resin, and Site Services.\n· Proven ability to manage supplier performance and drive accountability.\n· Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, spend analytics, and business case development.\n· Ability to influence and lead cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.\n· Experience working with ambiguity and driving results in a fast-paced environment.\n· Strong communication skills with the ability to present to site and executive leadership.\nHow You Can Thrive\n· Lead procurement for a critical manufacturing site with high visibility and impact.\n· Partner with site and global leaders to shape sourcing strategy and supplier relationships.\n· Grow your leadership capabilities in a collaborative, performance-driven culture.\n· Contribute directly to operational excellence, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity.\n· Collaborative Culture - Work alongside passionate and diverse teams in a dynamic and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and teamwork.\n· Impactful Work - Be part of a purpose-driven company that is improving lives by advancing eye care solutions worldwide.\n· Recognition & Rewards - Your contributions are valued and recognized through competitive compensation, performance incentives and career progression opportunities.\n· Global Exposure - Join a world-class organization with opportunities to collaborate across international teams and gain global industry insights.\n· Work-Life Balance & Well-Being - Enjoy employee wellness programs, flexible work arrangements and initiatives that support your well-being.\nAt Alcon, we empower our people to make a difference while growing their careers in an exciting and supportive environment.
